The hypocritical honesty of the "Broom Movement" and the obvious lack of internal democracy in the "Umbrella Party," Udung Uko LGA in focus

Admittedly, the People's Democratic Party in Udung-Uko L.G.A. has of recent conducted one of the most undemocratic chairmanship primaries in contemporary political history. And as expected, the people, majority of whom are party faithfuls publicly expressed their displeasure over what they termed, lack of internal democracy in their party. However, described by a section of the party membership as a blessing in disguise, the process saw the emergence of a loyal party man, a square peg in a square hole and one that is most suitable for the job, Hon. Okon Esin Oku as the PDP Chairmanship flag bearer.

On the other hand, having failed an integrity test critical to the unity and the harmonious co-existence of the people of Udung-Uko, the All Progressive Congress cannot therefore be seen as an alternative political platform to the PDP. For the purpose of clarity, the APC have in her attempt to truncate the already established "Communal Agreement" (Zoning of the Chairmanship Seat between Zone A and B) committed a grievous sin against the people of Udung-Uko. And on this note, it becomes imperative therefore that we take a brief look at the hypocritical honesty of the Udung-Uko Chapter of the APC.

Likened to self-righteousness, hypocritical honesty in the context here considered denotes the pretends by oneself, a group or an association to have moral standards or opinions that they do not actually have. It is nothing more than members of the "Broom Movement" castigating the "Umbrella Party" for her undemocratic conduct and yet, turn around and attempt to suffocate ZONING which had sinced come to stay as a belief system of the people of Udung-Uko.

Hypocritical honesty is exiting the PDP in 2015 for her disregard for the tripodal sharing arrangement in respect of the Akwa Ibom State Governorship Seat and in 2017, just two years later, we disregards a COMMUNAL AGREEMENT (Zoning) in the race to click the Chairmanship Seat of Udung-Uko.

Hypocritical honesty is deserting the PDP in 2015 on grounds of being cheated out in the race to occupy the "Hiltop Mansion" and in 2017, just two years after, we are the first to chant/ promote NSIMAPHOBIA and ONWI-ONU NSIMA EKERE 2019.

Hypocritical honesty explains the insincerity of a stand-well-well politician of Udung-Uko extraction who in 2015 left the PDP for the APC on grounds that Oro was denied the Akwa Ibom State Governorship Seat and in 2017, just two years later, he is subtly consulting for the Eket Senatorial District Seat ahead of 2019 General Elections.

Hypocritical honesty is the wild and desperate move by the MEDIA BOYS of the "BROOM MOVEMENT" to flood the social media with barefaced lies and well fabricated falsehood that over 200 persons recently deserted the "Umbrella Party" and whereas, from verifiable records, in addition to the APC's "rented crowd" of the alleged defectors, no person other than Hon.Daniel Asukwo is known to have defected from the PDP.

Fellow compatriots, unlike the APC, the Udung-Uko Chapter of the PDP has a sense of rectitude, fairness and justice- Justice for Zone B. It is on this note that I, inline with the directives of my "Principal", Engr. Ben Edenseting, do hereby charge us to keep fate and remain steadfast with the PDP. Hear him, "...For equity, fair play and power rotation as defined in the zoning agenda of our party, I mandated all my supporters Cum campaign organization to work for Hon. Oku for the interest of Edikor and well being of Udung-Uko L.G.A. The future is promising".----Engr. Ben Edenseting.
