THOUGHT FOR THE DAY: Whatever you cannot resist will resist your destiny.
Self-control is a major character trait that is critical to the
fulfilment of destiny in the journey of life. That is why it has been
established that the lack of self-control is also the lack of destiny
control.
That is to say, to lack self-control is to lose one’s place in
life and destiny. Anyone who cannot control his passion cannot control
his future.
Losing control of your emotion is losing control of your motion and
progress in life. The flesh, therefore, is the enemy of destiny.
One area where people easily lose control of their destiny is
appetite. For instance, Esau sold his birthright for a mere plate of
pottage and lost his destiny (Genesis 25:24-29). Also, Adam and Eve lost
the Garden of Eden after eating the forbidden fruit.
It is sad to know that some Christians do not know how to fast. There
are others who fast but with diverse distractions and compromises.
Immorality
is another area where people lose control of their destiny. Immorality
was the ruin of Samson; he was going from one harlot to another until he
finally ended in the net of Delilah and had a colossal crash of
destiny.
Beloved, whatever you cannot resist will resist your destiny. If you
must fulfill your destiny, you must imbibe the spirit of self-control.
Remember this: Whatever you cannot resist will resist your destiny.
ASSIGNMENT(S):
1. Ask God to help you with the grace to subject your flesh to the dictates of the Spirit of God.
2. Deny yourself, take your cross and follow Jesus Christ daily.
PRAYER: O LORD, I ask for the grace to be holy daily. Help me LORD, to deny every activity of the self-life, in Jesus’ Name.

PENSAMIENTO PARA EL DÍA: Lo que usted no puede resistir resistirá a su destino
El autocontrol es un rasgo importante en el carácter que es crítico
para el cumplimiento del destino en el viaje de la vida. Es por eso que
se ha establecido que la falta de autocontrol es también la falta de
control del destino.
Es decir, carecer de autocontrol es perder el lugar
en la vida y el destino. Aquel que no puede controlar su pasión no
puede controlar su futuro.
Perder el control de su emoción es perder el
control de su movimiento y el progreso en la vida. La carne, por lo
tanto, es enemiga del destino.
Un área donde la gente fácilmente pierde el control de su destino es
su apetito. Por ejemplo, Esaú vendió su primogenitura por un simple
plato de potaje y perdió su destino (Génesis 25:24-29). Además, Adán y
Eva perdieron el Jardín del Edén después de comer la fruta prohibida.
Es triste saber que algunos cristianos no saben cómo ayunar. Hay otros que ayunan pero con diversas distracciones y compromisos.
La inmoralidad es otra área donde la gente pierde el control de su
destino. La inmoralidad fue la ruina de Sansón; Iba de una ramera a otra
hasta que finalmente terminó en la red de Dalila y tuvo un colosal
desplome del destino.
Amado, lo que usted no pueda resistir resistirá a su destino. Si
usted quiere alcanzar su destino, debe abrazar el espíritu de
autocontrol.
Recuerde esto: Todo lo que usted no pueda resistir resistirá su destino.
