Stereognosis is a haptic perception ability to perceive and recognize the form of an object in the absence of visual and auditory information.
In the last two years security agencies have carried out supper military skirmishes in two locations purportedly in search of weapons stockpiled by Sen Godswill Akpabio. The first was in Government House Uyo, over a year ago. The recent one took place some 48 or so hours ago when reports came out that a truck load of heavily armed security men invaded the Abuja Home of Mary Ekpenyong (An Aid to Sen Akpabio) purportedly in search of weapon stockpiled by Sen Akpabio.
On both occasions there were no reports of weapons found. But this is surprising. How could they miss the Boeing F/A 18E/F Super Hornet flown by Akpabio himself from where he launched 100 Perdix Drones that demonstrated swarm behaviors such as collective decision making, adaptive formation flying and self-healing? The drones were preprogramed to screen individuals and identify Boko Haram suspects, if any on Akwa Ibom soil and they were everywhere.
How could they miss the Nuclear Artillery that can be delivered by shells and long range rockets which were located at Ukana? How could they miss the aircraft carrier stationed at Oron Beach more technically advance than USS Ford; equipped with nuclear reactors and electromagnetic catapults systems designed to hurl aircraft into the air. How could they miss his recent US styled X-47B unmanned drone and the Chinese DF 21D Anti-ship Ballistic Missile both stationed at Ikot Abasi?
I think they need to use stereognosis to locate some of these weapons since visual and other methods have failed. The truth is that Sen Akpabio has a lot of weapons but they are in his brain. In my opinion and based on what I have seen in the last ten years, Sen Akpabio rank among some of the most intelligent Nigerians in his own right. He may not be in the leagues of Philips Emeagwali, the engineer, mathematician and computer scientist who posted an IQ of 190, but in terms of political engineering Sen Akpabio may post an IQ of not less 150 if tested.
Rather than look for unavailable weapons around him in an attempt to rope him in, government may tap into the weapons in his brain for administrative strategy to run the country in times like this. In other words the time calls for the likes of Akpabio to be called up for higher responsibilities to move the country forward rather than unnecessary frenzy attempts to pull him down.
