Mark 11:12-14, 20-22 KJV
“And on the morrow, when they were come from Bethany, he was hungry: And seeing a fig tree afar off having leaves, he came, if haply he might find any thing thereon: and when he came to it, he found nothing but leaves; for the time of figs was not yet. And Jesus answered and said unto it, No man eat fruit of thee hereafter for ever. And his disciples heard it. And in the morning, as they passed by, they saw the fig tree dried up from the roots. And Peter calling to remembrance saith unto him, Master, behold, the fig tree which thou cursedst is withered away. And Jesus answering saith unto them, Have faith in God.”
Most
often, you would hear titles that read "speak to him, speak to her", and
not "speak to it". People are used to speaking to people and not
speaking to things, because we have been trained to believe that only
human ears can hear when you speak.
Hence, we have been deceived to
think that the absence of physical ears means there will be no hearing;
how false! Let it be known right now that everything can hear, all
things hear, and they do not just hear, they also obey or comply.
God proved to us in the scriptures, that hearing happens to everyone
and everything. When He was creating or recreating the world, all He did
was to speak and things happened.
He was teaching us as people created
in His image, to know that we will easily get things done by speaking or
declaring.
When God called the light, it answered by showing up, and
then He called the vegetation and they showed up as well.
He further
called the fishes and then animals, etc and none of them denied Him
their attention. They all answered "present".
Now there is something in
you that makes you that powerful as well; it is called the faith of God.
God lives, operates and gets things done by faith, and so must we.
In the experience of Jesus, He saw a fig tree that failed to produce for
human consumption and He cursed it. He simply told the tree what would
happen to it from that moment, for failing to give Him fruit when He was
hungry.
By the very next morning, the tree dried up from the roots and
withered away. Peter was agriculturally inclined, so he observed that
the tree had dried up from the roots, and he traced it to the
declaration of Jesus.
Jesus spoke to it. When will you start speaking to
it or them? Open your mouth right now and let all the things that have
mocked and failed you hear from you right now.
Speak to your job,
speak to your cheque book, speak to your office, speak to your
academics, speak to your home, speak to your body, etc. After doing so,
go your way and watch things change according to your desires in Jesus
Name.
Assignment/Prayer
i. Thank God for this revelation.
ii. Make a list of all the things in and around your life that must be
spoken to, and start speaking to them consistently in Jesus Name.
iii. Constantly live on thanksgiving over all matters you have addressed by speaking.
Nugget
Speak to your job, your cheque book, your academics, your home, your body, etc. then, go your way and watch things change.
