Commendations have continued to trail the recent appointment of Prince
Enobong Uwah as the Chairman, Uyo Capital City Development Authourity,
UCCDA, by the Akwa Ibom state Governor, His Excellency, Mr Udom
Gabriel Emmanuel.
The latest is from Skill Up Nigeria Project, a non governmental organisation, which has described the appointment as well deserved, and thanked Governor Emmanuel for his magnanimity and vision in appointing Prince Enobong Uwah, who until the last cabinet reshuffle, served in his cabinet as the Honourable Commissioner for Housing and Urban Renewal.
In a statement signed by the National Cordinator of Skill Up Nigeria Project, Dr Victor Utong Williams and made available to newsmen, the organization observed that, Prince Enobong Uwah has received a just reward for his unwavering and unquestionable Loyalty and hard work.
The
statement adds that, Prince Uwah, has demonstrated impeccable
competence and a record of track performance in his previous offices
and expressed confidence that, he will yet again justify the confidence
reposed in him by the governor by repositioning the UCCDA and
accomplishing the governor's blueprint for the state capital.
In a related development, Dr Williams, disclosed that, Prince Uwah and indeed the State government will continue to find support from Skill Up Nigeria Project, which is a skills acquisition and Vocation training centre that has an international franchise from the United States of America to train folks in various areas, including welding and fabrication, catering, information communications technology, fashion designing, electrical and electronics installation among others.
Located at Atan Offot, off IBB Avenue by the State Secretariat, (Prince Enobong Uwah's village), Skill Up Nigeria Project also runs an Approved Centre of City and Guilds of London Institute where they offer standard skills and technology training, with certification to trainees and empowerment packages that drives graduands to success.
The National Cordinator of the programme acknowledged that, Prince Uwah as an illustrious son of Atan offot, Uyo Local Government Area and given his wealth of experience is a round peg fitted into a round hole.
While
pledging continued support for the State governor's effort at delivering
democracy dividends to the people, Skill Up Nigeria Project
congratulated Prince Enobong Uwah and prayed for God's wisdom and
guidance as he begins work in his new office
