He applauded Mr. Ekere for the kind gesture, saying that, roads constructed so far have vividly portrayed the NDDC MD as a detribalized fellow thereby praying God to grant all his heart desires.

"For the mere fact that Nsima Ekere didn't emulate the steps of previous state representatives in NDDC, who took development only to their local government areas, it clearly portrays him as a detribalized man.

"Take for instance, Ime Ebong street, Silas Udoh by Esuene Street prior to the intervention of NDDC were death traps, but NDDC has turned them to nylon tarred roads.

"If Nsima Ekere was in NDDC as at 16 August, 2016, our friend, Sampson Udoekong wouldn't have died, while trying to dodge a large gallop between Ime Ebong street and Qua Iboe Church, Phenson street.

"Silver or Gold, we have none, we are hopeful that the almighty God will grant Mr. Ekere all his heart desires in Jesus name "He prayed.

In his remark, Pastor Ndarake Essien, urged appointees and elected officers to emulate the gesture of Mr Ekere, stressing that, Abak Road Housing has never had it so good.

The cleric, who is the Secretary of Elders Advisory Council in the estate, announces that plans were in Top Gear to send a proposal to Uyo Local Government Area with a view of naming a street after Mr. Nsima Ekere, disclosing that the naming ceremony may likely take place during the commissioning of the project.

"I have stayed in this Federal Housing Estate for 35 years. We, the residence have never been so lucky to be favoured with nylon tarred road construction as seen here in this area, courtesy of NDDC under the watchful eyes of Nsima Ekere as Managing Director.

"As secretary of elders council, we have unanimously agreed that we will send a proposal to Uyo LGA so that one of our streets could be named after Nsima Ekere. This, I guess will be done during commissioning." He revealed.

It was gathered that, the Commission has also reciprocate same gesture on all the Internal roads within State Housing Estate, (Ewet Housing), while Old Itu Road in Ikot Ekpene Local Government Area is wearing a new look.

As President Buhari and some states of the federation (including Akwa Ibom State) roll out drums to celebrate two years of leadership, this reporter gathered that, the management of NDDC, which Mr. Nsima Ekere is the MD is barely six months old as he was sworn in on the 4th of November, 2016.
