Victor Akpan, a constituent of Itu State constituency and a member of the Peoples Democratic Party, PDP, has described his lawmaker, Hon.Idongesit Ituen as a pathological and congenital traitor, liar and a serial blackmailer.
He alleged that his lawmaker told the governor, Deacon Udom Emmanuel that he( Victor) is a member of the All Progressive Congress, APC and one of those who testified in court against the governor, that is why he(Victor) was replaced as Youth Council Chairman of Itu at the verge of swearing in.
Findings reveals that during the inauguration of Akwa Ibom State Chapter of National Youth Council of Nigeria recently at Government House Banquet Hall there was a conspicuous delay following a dirty blackmail employed by Hon. Ituen to vehemently demand for a slot.
An authoritative source disclosed that when the governor obliged him, Hon. Ituen went for Victors position, the Chairman which he had the overwhelming endorsement of over seventy percent of political stakeholders from Itu Local Government.
Akpan, a youth leader and a student of the University of Uyo cum politician said Hon. Ituen is a mediocre who resort to blackmail, fraud, lies, treachery and arrogance to make up for his inferiority complex.
He traced his disagreement with Hon. Ituen to an event after the 2007 gubernatorial election that produced former governor Godswill Akpabio where himself(Victor), Usen Ebong, a former Chairman of Itu and one time governorship aspirant, Inemesit Okpo, Victor Uko and Mfon Itu were arrested with the governorship result from Itu which eventually led to Akpabio's landslide victory.
"In appreciation of our sacrifice, Godswill Akpabio in his usual magnanimity doled out an empowerment scheme worth N150million to eight youths each from the eleven wards of Itu. Guess what happened? Hon. Ituen stole that money and gave only one person, Edidiong Ikpe a paltry sum of N50,000.00. How do you describe such a fellow?", Victor asked rhetorically.
He stated further that between himself and Hon. Ituen, who is more PDP? During Udom Emmanuel campaigns, he was busy campaigning secretly for his benefactor Bishop Sam Akpan. He had as a member of PDP sponsored ACN (now defunct) candidates against the PDP.
On two occasions, monies given to him by Basset Albert and Basset Etim to appreciate delegates from Itu had always got missing on transit.
Ten women delegate from Itu during national assembly nomination, Hon. Ituen Shamefacedly collected one million Maura and never gave a dime to those women.
The constituent further stated that the lawmaker has never been a team player even when he was in school and involve is student politics, rather he plays politics of segregation. He cannot win election in Itu because knows his antecedent.
"Let him not hide under the guise of Sports to lie to the governor that he is popular and accepted in Itu. We have given him a long rope anticipating he will turn a new leaf but he has chosen to remain his usual fraudster, liar, traitor and blackmailer.
I challenge him to dare debunk anything I have said here and I will present documented evidence and live witnesses to confirm all what I have said here", Victor stressed.
Efforts to get Hon. Ituen react could not yield positive result as SMS sent to his phone line was not responded to as at the time of going to press.
