Malachi 3:10 NKJV

“Bring all the tithes into the storehouse, That there may be food in My house, And try Me now in this,” Says the LORD of hosts, “If I will not open for you the windows of heaven And pour out for you such blessing That there will not be room enough to receive it.”

No seed will survive under closed heavens. A closed heaven means there will be no rain. A closed heaven means no moist for the ground for reproductive activities to take place. So, seed is useless where the heavens are closed.

Keeping the heavens open becomes a great priority for anyone who really wants to enjoy real harvest, and there are ways to keep the heavens open.

i. The first way to open your heavens is by prayer.

Prayer is the spiritual opening of the heaven over your personal life and walk with God. Jesus prayed while being baptized in Luke 3:21 and the heavens opened unto Him alone. There may be hardship everywhere but a man in fellowship with God can be exempted.

ii. The heavens open by tithing.

Too many believers give seeds and do all manner of generous things and fail to tithe. The fact is that seed and tithing don't do the same things in our lives. Tithing opens the windows of heaven, while seed brings us harvest.

If the heavens are closed from rain, the seed we sowed will die in the ground, and if we give our tithes and fail to sow, the heavens will open but see nothing to water. It is a combination of these two that gives us our harvest.

A church that fails to tithe her income will make the members suffer hardship because their seed will not produce as they should.

This is the reason why many church members suffer poverty despite their giving. Encourage your pastor to tithe the ministry's income and watch the hand of God go into action.

Receive open heavens in Jesus Name.

Assignment

i. Document all your income and always remove the tithe first.

ii. Be generous and sow liberally.

Prayer

- Lord, give me grace to be committed to tithing.

- Father, I reject every spirit of selfishness and stinginess in Jesus name.

Nugget

Tithing opens the windows of heaven, while seed brings us harvest; It is a combination of these two that gives us our harvest.
