As the 2017 Voter Registration exercise commences, Akwa Ibom State
Commissioner for Housing and Special Duties, Mr Akan has called on
female youths in the State, to participate fully in the exercise.
Mr Okon stated this yesterday, while speaking at the First Anniversary
of Akwa Ibom State Female Youths Association, held at Ibom Hall Grounds,
IBB Way,
Uyo.

Addressing the female youths, the Commissioner thanked them for the support they have so far accorded the administration of Governor Udom Emmanuel and hinted the only way they could return him (the Governor) for a second term is by participating in the ongoing Voter Registration exercise.
Okon said Governor Emmanuel's led Administration is determined to better the lot of every Akwa Ibom child, through the provision of employment opportunities and advised the young women to remain focused in their dreams.
"Your One Year Anniversary comes at a time that Voter Registration is going on everywhere in the country and it is important you take part in the registration, that's the only way your support for His Excellency will be ascertained.
"With the number of people am, seeing here am very certain when you go out there to vote, Governor Udom Emmanuel will remain our Governor, beyond 2019", he said.
While congratulating the Association on its first year Anniversary, he commended the Leadership and peaceful co-existence of the body and reiterated his continuous support to them.
On her part, the President of the group, Miss Enda Bassey lauded Governor Udom Emmanuel on the giant strides he has recorded in less than two years and thanked the Commissioner for honouring their invitation.
Miss Bassey appealed for more support for the group and reiterated its unalloyed support for the current administration in the State, beyond 2019.
