While we are yet to recover from the shock of Tourism logo scam,its pertinent to draw the attention of all AkwaIbomites to another pending "state" constituency blunder.
Its no more news that one Emmanuel Owuala aka Emmanuel Solution is set to win as Chairman Actors gild of Nigeria, Akwa Ibom State Chapter. Emmanuel Owuala is from Abia State and a dear friend of many in the corridors of power in this state,and he is using his contacts well to the frustration of any other AkwaIbomite competing for the same position.
I did my NYSC in Owerri,and I had good time serving in that sister state, I almost married an Igbo queen but for my mother whose step siblings are Igbo's who strongly apposed to that,so its beyond ethnic grounds that I seek to oppose Emmanuel Owuala aka Emma Solution from Being Chairman of Akwa Ibom Chapter of Actors gild of Nigeria.
Mr Emmanuel Owuala claims he campaigned for governor Udom Emmanuel as Governor, therefore he deserves to be Chairman if he so wishes, he even went ahead to threaten that Governor Udom Emmanuel will not win 2019 if he does not win as Chairman since his contestant is APC loyalist. (the screen shots are available) should he seek to debunk this openly.
Its no gain saying that Emmanuel Owuala has benefited immensely from the benevolence of Governor Udom Emmanuel led Administration, though from Abia state more than many AkwaIbomites who seek to be common SA to the Governor on Toilet matters, yet this our brother traverses the hill top mansion as his second home and still seek more of what should go for bona fide sons and daughters of this great state because of our simplicity, hospitality to visitors and over welcoming ambiance.
Pundits are pointing accusing fingers towards Emmanuel Owuala on the recent Scam meted on this state by another Igbo brother who stole the flying feather from the net and concocted a haze of deception through well orchestrated conspiracy and made away with 250,000 naira star prize,a logo of three feathers with a mask that is not in tandem with who we are as a state. Emmanuel Owuala's passionate defence of this scam is handy should he chose to defend himself.
No matter how connected Emmanuel Owuala might be in the politics of Akwa Ibom State, it's unpatriotic of anyone to sell out our birthright a step further. I would rather an APC loyalist wins as Chairman, Actors gild of Nigeria, Akwa Ibom branch,than Emmanuel Owuala from Abia state.
"When all Chairmen of Actors gild of Nigeria will have a converge,Abia state will have 2 slots and Akwa Ibom will have none. Nothing personal, Oron,Anang,Ibibio edeme-ki-idap"
Being a friend or fan of Emma Solution is one thing,allowing him to be a Stranger King in our midst is another. For the love and pride of Akwa Ibom State,I have pleaded with Emma Solution to support an AkwaIbomite as Chairman while he seeks another position, but his desire is stronger than reason, I therefore call on actors/actress not to take the upcoming Actors gild of Nigeria election in Akwa Ibom State lightly.
Go out there and redeem our pride,THIS IS AKWA IBOM STATE. Territorial sharing formula of leadership positions should please be respected in the Nigerian federation.
AkwaIbomites have hardly united together beyond party lines until of recent When Obong Arc Victor Attah, Senator Godswill Obot Akpabio and Governor Udom Emmanuel posed for a memorable snap shot that has spoken louder than words.
I believe its in the spirit of oneness of purpose that inspired many from not playing politics with the unfortunate work of stolen art(Feather fly) which was used to scam unsuspecting panel and a few inspired from what was initially believed to be an originality until Google proved the contrary.
Like in Olympics, many who were declared winners and latter failed dope test were disqualified and the second runner up became the true winner, its pertinent that this stolen work of art be disqualified, else we all become accomplice to a crime,sia ese-ebo Adia mkpo ino,ino ke ado.
Apart from the fact that the supposed Winner is of the Igbo Origin,which doesn't matter to great minds who seek to stay off the lines of biases as enshrined in our philosophy of greatness,the embarrassing stolen Feather Fly remains unacceptable.
Some have argued that it will be embarrassing to throw away the "stolen concept", but it will be more embarrassing to face litigation from the Original owner of the Feather fly being an Intellectual property of the creator.
