He has robbed Uyo federal constituency of the position of the senate. He deceived Rt Hon Tony Akan.
Now, because God has brought out a courageous man in the like of King David in the person of Rt Hon Bassey Etim to reclaim the stolen seat of Uyo senatorial that was originally and agreeably zoned to Uyo federal constituency to the owners, Akpabio is fighting black and blue to dimwit, scuttle and blackmail this divine political voyage.
This is a political bellicose, tenanciously embarked upon by Rt Hon Etim for emancipation of Uyo fed constituency.
Akpabio has strenuously vowed that Rt Hon Bassey Etim can't be sworn in as far as he is a senator. He was highly and uncontrollably infuriated when he met Rt Hon Bassey Etim in the office of the senate president yesterday.
What came out from his parroted mouth was and i quote "So Bafil has this kind of connection to the extent of dining and wining with the senate president, even to his security men".
He was unbelievably shocked to his deadly marrows to see Rt Hon Bassey Etim gleefully enjoying and laughing with the Senate President Saraki and Sen Dino Melaye, forgetting so soon that Rt Hon Bassey Etim was with Dino Meleya in the Fed House of Reps before the later moved to the senate. Records have it that, Rt Hon Bassey Etim has been in the limelight of national politics since 2003 before Chief Akpabio later joined him in 2007.
He has played national assembly politics before Akpabio joined him too in 2015 when he was undemocratically elected as a senator for Akwa Ibom North West senatorial district.
If indeed Akpabio is fighting Hon Etim, i can say emphatically that he is only chasing shadow. He won't succeed, because the govt that was answerable to him sheepishly has been evicted from office since 2015.
The recent judicial victories recorded so far in Nigeria won't have been possible if Akpabio boys were still at temple of justice. Rt Hon Bassey Etim went to court because he was spiritually directed to do so.
Almighty God whispered to him to pursue, overtake and recover all that were politically looted away from Uyo federal constituency.
And having known and seen that the political Pharaohs in Nigeria had been trapped and sunk in the red sea, he didn't waste time in calling for utter emancipation of politically impoverished people of Uyo fed constituency by instituting a case at the Federal High Court.
He challenged the wrongful and unjustifiable substitution of his name as the winner of the senatorial district primary that was held in Uyo, the Akwa Ibom State capital and supplanting it with one Bassey Albert.
It was a bit easier for them, because it was only Etim that was tempered with. They only erased Etim and wrote Albert while still maintaining Bassey as the first name.
Almighty God in His infinite wisdom and power granted the soberly tendered request of Rt Hon (Elder) Bassey Etim and few days ago he was publicly issued with the Certificate of Return by INEC as the rightful nominated and subsequently elected senator for Akwa Ibom North East senatorial district, as was being ordered by the court.
As a law abiding commission, INEC hearkened to the ruling of the court and issued out Certificate of Return to the judicially confirmed senator, Rt Hon (Elder) Bassey Etim without delay.
Now that it is time for senate to do justice to the bidding of the court, Akpabio is saying Uyo fed constituency can never be liberated.
He is profusely saying Uyo fed constituency must suffer for what they did to him in 2011, in which he was furiously jettisoned and made to fail within the constituency.
It may interest you to know that Akpabio failed woefully in Uyo fed constituency in 2011 governorship election, following massive killings, maiming, assassinations, kidnapping, and other unwholesome tendencies that were callously perverted in Akwa Ibom State.
The only available way to reciprocate Akpabio and his heinous govt, since he was riding on the path of the then useless and insensitive presidency to effect these atrocities in the state of Akwa Ibom, was to fail him in 2011.Till date, i can boldly say, that political injustice that was meritoriously meted out to Akpabio is still evergreen in the never-forgiven mind of Akpabio. Former Gov Akpabio once said that any local govt or section of the state, who do not support his govt, he will make govt to sleep against them.
For how long will this last? This inordinate aversion is fizzling out gradually and unnoticeably.
My candid rede to Sen Akpabio is, he should squarely face his tedious legislative business and leave Rt Hon Bassey Etim alone, because he will not win him. One with God is a majority.
He should leave Uyo fed constituency alone and concentrate in his yet-to-be developed constituency and see how he can add more values to the place, instead of diverting the constituency funds to go and build a university hostel in Anambra State.
And he should leave Uyo senatorial district alone. He can only fool us once, he can not fool us forever."
