with his unflinching commitment and determination to empower women to
boost small and medium scale enterprises and to enhance prosperity in
line with Governor Okowa's prosperity agenda, the Deputy Speaker, Delta
State House of Assembly, Rt. Hon. Friday Ossai Osanebi today empowered
market women, in Amai.
Last week, the Empowerment Master was hosted in Amai, Ukwuani local government area by Chief Amb. Dele Omenegor and
other opinion leaders in the community, where he promised the women
that came out in their numbers, that he would revisit them, for
empowerment.
One would conclude that such statement was a mere political statement to psyche the women, who have gathered in large numbers; but true to his words today in Amai, after attending arrays of social events within Ndokwa nation, the Deputy Speaker, redirected his convoy to Amai where he met the market women that had already organized themselves and distributed cheques of tangible amount to them to rejuvenate their businesses.
He is a general in establishing small and medium scale enterprises which he has severally demonstrated within the past one year in office as Deputy Speaker; and he has given out over 10 million Naira to women to begin small and medium scale enterprises within their localities.
Osanebi has maintained that his empowerment strategies since Governor Okowa assumed office was motivated by the governor's prosperity agenda and all his efforts in this regard is to consolidate on the Governor's SMART and prosperity agenda.
What is good is good. One would expect other well meaning Deltans to join force with Rt. Hon. Friday Osanebi to consolidate the efforts of the government of the day to practically enforce the prosperity of Deltans.
