Galatians 6:7 NKJV

“Do not be deceived, God is not mocked; for whatever a man sows, that he will also reap.”
I think there has been a lot of deception where marriage is concerned, and the most part of it is self-deception for that matter.

If it is not possible for a business to keep thriving without constant reinvestments, and if it is not possible for a human being to do well without some kind of constant tangible and intangible investments into their mental and physical persons; why then do many married people think that their marriages would simply do well because they are married and love each other?

Many married couples have failed to remember this all important scripture that even marriage cannot negate.

It is true in all facets of human existence, that you will always reap what you sow. What your marriage is today is a direct result of the kind of investments you have made into it.

Invest nothing and you will get nothing and even see decay in your marriage. We did all manner of things prior to marriage to make sure we succeeded to get married to our partner.

Some people even did a lot more to make sure that the marriage succeeded. But people get married and suddenly believe their marriages will work by magic.

My friends, until you undertake to sow into your marriage today, you may reap a harvest of "nothingness" and possible disaster in the future. Here are a few ways you can invest into your marriage:

i ) Get closer to God in fellowship and always employ the help of the Holy Spirit in relationship with your spouse.

ii) Attend conferences and seminars together. Particularly those ones that are marriage oriented. Don't shy away from marriage seminars, conferences and picnics. Don't get so confident to think you don't need them.

iii) Spend time with yourselves as a couple. Don't become too busy for your marriage. Highly prioritize your spouse in your daily schedule.

iv) Give to your spouse. Bless them financially and materially as well.

v) Spend time with your children and give to them as well, so they don't look for things elsewhere.

Assignment

-Go over the message and take note of areas you want to improve on.

-Ask for grace to do them.

-Share this with another married person, and offer to get them a copy of the devotional each month.

Prayer

-Make prayer points of all the points mentioned in the last paragraph.

Nugget

Until you undertake to sow into your marriage today, you may reap a harvest of "nothingness" and possible disaster in the future.
