The Chairman of Okobo Transition Committee has been reported to have
allegedly masterminded the initiation of forty (40) youths from the area
into a cult group known as the Black Axe.
This is contained in a
recent online publication made by Mr. Linus Bassey, titled "Dakkada
Version Of Hon.. Ubuo Ubuo, Transition Chairman Of Okobo L.G.A."
In
the said post, Mr. Bassey who refers to himself as an Okobo freeborn,
noted that the Council boss has taken undue Advantage of "mental,
financial and intellectual limitations of these youths to further lead
them into servitude, while calling on Governor Udom Emmanuel to set up a
panel to investigate the issues raised in his publication.

DÁKKÀDÁ VERSION OF HON. UBUO UBUO, TRANSITION CHAIRMAN OF OKOBO L.G.A.
The Dákkàdá philosophy of H.E. Udom Emmanuel is so timely. A call to
self-realization of the dignity of the Akwa Ibom person. A call to look
within and discover the inner potentials embedded in the Akwa Ibom
youths and develop it for the progress and development of the Akwa Ibom
State.
A call to hardwork, entrepreneurial and mental freedom. These are
global practices propagated by our enlightened Governor to make Akwa
Ibomites an envy of other States in Nigeria and globally.
While
these philosophy of the Governor is developmental and progressive, the
representatives of the Governor in Okobo L.G.A in their pretentious way
are practicing counter-productive initiative.
Hon. Ubuo Ubuo is
propagating the kingdom of darkness in Okobo. These are facts that
should be investigated by the Governor and all concern, by setting up a
secret panel of investigation.
Mr. Ubuo in his mental and ideological
paucity is inclined to practices and initiatives with probable
consequences. These ignoble and unruly practices are very pathetic and
inimical to the development and the future of Okobo L.G.A.
This
is my humble call for immediate intervention by H.E. Udom Emmanuel,
Religious Leaders, Youth Leaders and Concerned elites/citizens of Okobo
to come to our aid and put to an end the ugly trend. It has been
established that Mr. Ubuo recruited and initiated 17 youths into Black
Axe cultist group, and that number has increased to 40 now. He has taken
undue advantage of ignorant, mental, financial and intellectual
limitations of these youths to further leads them into peril and
servitude.
With these unfortunate happenings, my heart bleeds
that if prompt action and intervention measures are not taken, these
evil will spread like wild fire and engulf Okobo, plunging it into a
state of oblique and dystopia. Thereby undermining the benefits of
Dákkàdá philosophy of H.E. Udom Emmanuel in Okobo.
Since Mr. Ubuo has
openly show that he is a jinx to Okobo people, in my schismatic stand to
negative and retrogressive tendencies, I appeal to all well meaning
Akwa Ibomites to rise and come to our aid.
S.O.S. = Save Our Soul in Okobo.
Linus Bassey. Okobo Freeborn. Okobo Must Be Free.
