Lest I forget the motion of Hon. Samuel Ufuo on the the Desertion of Etebi - Enwang Road
Etebi - Enwang road was one of the roads awarded contract in 2007 alongside other roads such as Abak - Ikot Ekpene road, Use Ikot Amama road, Etim Ekpo - Iwukem road etc.
Whereas Etebi - Enwang road traverses two important oil producing Local Government Areas of Esit Eket and Mbo.

Whereas this noble project was cherished by the people of Mbo and Esit Eket and in fact Akwa Ibom people as one of the projects that will redefine the economic and social life of the people.

Whereas along the Etebi - Enwang road there is a bridge between Affi Uda and Ukonteghe in Mbo Local Government Area. This bridge is about 1,056M long. The much advertised as the longest bridge in Akwa Ibom.

Whereas Etebi - Enwang road is 22KM out of which 10KM was tarred since 2007 and the bridge is 30 % completed. The desertion of this road has inflicted untold hardship on the people of Mbo, Esit Eket, Akwa Ibom people and other Nigerians. The economic and social life of the people had become more deplorable and pathetic than before.

Whereas in an attempt to cross the river especially during raining season, more than six lives have been loss since the inception of the project.

Whereas since the creation of Mbo Local Government in 1989, this was the first attempt by the Government of Akwa Ibom State to construct road in the area despite its revenue contributions to the State and the County in general.

The Honourable Member Representing Mbo State Constituency and Chairman House Committee on Education, Hon Samuel Ufuo prayed the Honourable House to persuade the Governor of Akwa Ibom State, His Excellency Deacon Udom Gabriel Emmanuel to revisit the abandoned road in order to ameliorate the suffering of the people and to also direct Ministry of Works to visit the abandoned bridge especially during this raining season to provide means of crossing the river to avoid loss of more lives until the situation is fully remedied.
