Former Managing Diretor of NNPC, Andrew Yakubu, has withdrawn his N1
billion fundamental human rights lawsuit filed against EFCC. Yakubu
filed the suit after the antigraft agency arrested him following the
discovery of $9.7 million and £74,000 in his house in Kaduna on February
3rd.
At the resumed hearing of the case this morning, Yakubu's counsel, Adeola Adedipe, told the judge that he had filed a notice of discontinuance of the suit on behalf of his client. Adedipe said that the bail given to his client was the reason the suit was being discontinued. The presiding judge, Justice Mohammed, there after struck out the suit.
