BBNAIJA AND THE AKWA IBOM STATE FACTOR, A TRIBAL WAR SCENARIO

Memories of Kemen's eviction from BBN last night will soon evaporate from our minds, yet events and circumstances involved will continue to trigger reactions among Nigerians.
However, here is one of such reactions shared on facebook page. Read more as shared after the cut...

My wife and myself are big Big Brother Africa fans. We usually follow it from the opening party, weekly tasks, update on the housemates, hoh matters, sanctions, winnings Saturday party and costumes, the eviction shows the twists and the Grand finale.

Incidentally, this year it is not BBA but bbnaija. I looked at my wife she looked back and without saying a word we boycott the show totally. We knew it will lack transparency and will not be corruption free. We have been vindicated.

While it is easy for us to criticise Kenem for the turn of events, it is good to know that at the national stage it is not easy for the Akwa Ibom person. You have to prove yourself in multiple of the efforts other people put in in order to be given any consideration.

It is easier if you go out as an accomplished person but in such cases you discover that the rest of the country simply looks through you seeing nothing. A good case case in point are our Senators. Men who sneeze and Akwa Ibom state catches cold went to Abuja and became ordinary.

Back to BBNAIJA I have combed through the Internet and have found the said video. Considering what has come to be accepted as Big Brother standard, there is nothing extraordinary the young man did. How did the two of them end up on the same bed? Who owns the bed?

Back to the street, those of us who schooled outside Akwa Ibom state know that it is very difficult to get by as a Calabar man. You have to prove to your lecturer why he should not fail. The prejudice is sickening.

I encourage everyone to watch the film and be the judge. For the lady who refused to speak up for her man, too bad. This is no more a game because the young man's image and future is at stake.

Team Kenem this is the time to show your Solidarity and not to judge. Aniekan James Ekah this is the time to show case the enthusiasm, love and dedication you have committed to this project

In competitive circumstances outside our state it is always Akwa Ibom candidate against the whole country.
Imagine Akwa Ibom man winning bbnaija. Our neighbours will say tufiakwa.
