Speaking with journalists on his
arrival in Uyo from Abuja, the APC stalwart and publisher of Newsday
Newspaper enumerated the contracts awarded to Oro nation by the NDDC boss
to include the construction of Enwang - Ibaka road, construction of
2.5KM Eyo Abasi - Uya Oro road, construction of administration block and
ultra modern library at Christian Technical College, Oyubia,
construction of administration block and renovation of staff quarters at
Methodist Boys' High School, Oron provision and installation of solar
powered Street lights at Okopedi, construction of Primary Health Centre
at Okopedi, among many others plus the ongoing construction of Ala
Street, Odoro Street with a spur to Abak Street, Eyo Akan lane, Imowo
Street etc.
Chief Isong who is a former Transition Committee Chairman of Urue Offong Oruko and the National Chairman of "Onwi Onu Nsima Ekere, ONE" expressed his heartfelt gratitude to Obong Ekere for accommodating Oro in the scheme of unfolding mass development of his Commission.
He maintained that Obong Ekere has the plight of Oro nation at heart and means well for Akwa Ibom State. He charged the people of Oro nation and Akwa Ibom State to support Obong Nsima Ekere Governorship 2019 to continue to enjoy the dividends of democracy as would be evident in the administration of Obong Nsima Ekere.
