As cases associated with deciet , forgery, and impersonation continue to attract public attention
in Nigeria like never before, there is timely and urgent need for
citizens to be very conscious, observant, and vigilant as these menace
gradually poses a shameful and ridiculous image on our families,
communities, states, academic community and the nation in general.
Recent research shows that seventy percent of such criminal cases is
rampant amongst political class but I refuse to subscribe to these
premises as it could be an indication of hatred, blackmail, scandals,
and bewitchment which form parts of political gimmicks often employed
by most politicians to cripple and subdue their opponents during
campaigns and other Democratic activities. On the other hand, the truth
may not be far from these report as society hittato remains dynamic and
human nature, relatively unpredictable.
With reference to the
Washington Brainy quote (1975) Eppie Lederer in a piece documented in
Ann Lander's Pseudonym said " if you think education is expensive, try
ignorance ".
Taking a cue from the statement above, it becomes
imperative for us to have this fact at our finger tips that outside
education, the world today would be empty, meaningless, and void.
Education is important in life because it gives people the skills and
tools they need to navigate the world. Without education people would
not be able to read, write, calculate or communicate; they would also
not be able to perform jobs competently, accurately and safely.
It is important to note that education can take place in the life of an
individual who has never gone through school; categorically, my view
here is very far from the stand point of unprofessional, unproductive
and above all, unsubstantiated education and knowledge orchestrated by
some individuals without instrumental backing. Certainly, these may
sound very old in the ears of many, especially people who are
intelligent and intellectually informed.
At what ever way and
perspective you may seems to understand me, the role of qualitative
education in our society today cannot be overemphasized.
On the
contrary, ignorance is a dreaded disease. It is destructive and
calamitous in nature. Simply put, ignorance to some extent is an
opposition to education.
One who acts without knowledge and information
will more often be a corruptor rather than a reformer. Loss caused by
ignorance is merely limited to inability to make significant achievement
in life...
Those who act without knowledge also risk making dangerous
mistakes leading to corruption and destruction.
To make real
sense out of my points here, success is not cheap as most people
assume, achievement is not common, breakthrough is not easy to come by
except the grace of God. Note: God is not the author of undeserving and
unmerited breakthrough.
To succeed in life require hard work, sleepless
and restless moments, self denial, perseverance, courage, wisdom, and
sacrifice to mention a few.
Take out some quality time, prepare
and Wait. As opportunity knocks, tap from the well of your already
existing legacies and forge ahead for a great future devoid of shame,
deceit, embarrassment and corruption.
A short cut to gain education is
as a sin of witchcraft. Don't claim to have what you lack to abate
public disgrace and indelible humiliation.
Leadership to my best
knowledge is a gift and mystery from God. Those who do evil to acquire
leadership position need not to be told of the consequences and dangers
involved.
God can use you even with the least qualification but never
attempt to award yourself a qualification you never worked for. It is
highly inconvenience if not inconsequential to reap where you didn't
sow.
A lunatic does not have any cause to be ashamed of himself,
but his people suffers more shame. Let me not be specific in my opinion
and world view, if a name sounds like yours, don't respond until you
confirm it is your real name.
As 2019 election rings Bell, look
before you leap! Don't dare going to fetch water with a basket. Look at
the mirror surrounding you!
GOD BLESS NIGERIA!
