Psalms 1:1-3 NKJV
“Blessed is the man Who walks not in the counsel of the ungodly, Nor
stands in the path of sinners, Nor sits in the seat of the scornful; But
his delight is in the law of the LORD, And in His law he meditates day
and night.
He shall be like a tree Planted by the rivers of water, That
brings forth its fruit in its season, Whose leaf also shall not wither;
And whatever he does shall prosper.”
Too often we get to see and
hear believers complain so heavily about the misfortunes of their lives
and how one demon or the other is after them. They so quickly blame
their down fall on some family demons, or stronghold in the family.
The
interesting part of all these is that they may be right in their
predictions and assertions, but the baffling part of all these is that
they seem to operate in hopelessness and some kind of unconscious
glorification of these demons, thus presenting God as an incapable God.
How sad?
Yes, we wrestle not against flesh and blood, but against
principalities and powers, rulers of the darkness of this world and
spiritual wickedness in heavenly places.
But God had given us tools with
which to fight; tools that are by far more superior and extremely more
sophisticated than these principalities. These weapons are the
principles contained in the word of God.
No one can practice God's word
and be defeated by a principality, no way! We are often defeated because
we rarely practice the word of God.
God's people have become either
professional hearers or teachers of the word of God, and hearing or
teaching does not defeat devils for you.
Let's say that your
ancestors laid down an embargo that no one would be rich in your family,
and the curse or embargo may have thrived till date.
You can decide to
break it by a life of consistent giving. The principle of giving is the
principle against poverty; one that no embargo can handle.
It is too
strong for them. In Genesis 8:20-22, Noah put forth a principle under
the inspiration of God that anyone whose sowing does not cease will
surely have a harvest and no principality can handle that.
A couple who
believes God for the fruit of the womb just need to serve God in a crazy
way and no principality will be able to stop their fruitfulness.
This
hold sway because of a principle in Exodus 23:25-26, where God said if
we served Him, none and nothing shall be barren amongst us.
Besides, it
was in the place of service that God met Zechariah and Elizabeth. Find
wisdom in God's word, turn them to your principle against any devil and
they will give way for you.
For heaven and earth can pass away but no
word of God will ever pass away. God has exalted His word above all His
Name, and none of God's words will ever return to Him void without
results.

Assignment
-Embark on a massive search for words from the scriptures that will
serve as your principles against principalities and use them vigorously.
Prayer
-Lord I honour your word in my life in Jesus Name.
-Lord I appreciate you for this wisdom in Jesus Name.
-Lord I make demands on the help of the Holy Spirit to enable me locate
principles in your word against all the principalities in my life in
Jesus Name.
Nugget
No one can practice God's word and be defeated by a principality, no way! We are only defeated because we rarely practice the word of God.
