The tension is high. Serious matters are arising. No more business as usual. Because more hands have joined the race. I mean the race to evict Governor Udom Emmanuel from office. They all want the man out even before the end of his tenure in 2019.

But why that serious? Why such hatred? Did we not vote him in 2015? If No, then how come he became our governor? Which demon and familiar spirit queued and voted those one million votes we saw? Then he must come to explain how come. But no matter what; something could be done.

Akwa Ibom is becoming a theatre of sort. Where improper fractions are regarded, respected. It's becoming a scene of unnecessarily attractions. So daring and scaring. One week; one challenge. One month, one trouble. One year; many crises.

Four years; million court cases. It's dawn on us. How we got here. How we aligned with crooked leaders. How come we allowed these forces ruled over us? But before we crucify the governor, let's wait for a minute.

I would agree with some voices. Yes, it's true that a single industry is yet to be established in Akwa Ibom. No good road. No proper education.

It's true that pensioners are still being owed for months. It's true that promotion arrears haven't been paid. It's true that 500 teachers were sacked by this government.

It's true that even the new 300 teachers they want to recruit is a scam. It's true that this government has failed in its campaign promises. It's also true that our government is blaming NDDC for its woes.

Isn't that barbaric? That's the reason for this alarm. Unlike the children of Isaka who understood the time. Our government should know that two years has already gone.

Why use 24 months to trade blames when your mates are busying impacting positively on its citizens? Just get corrected now. That it's time to be serious. It’s time to care.

It’s time to take responsibility. It’s time to lead maturely. It’s time for a positive change. It’s time to be true to our greatest selves. It’s time to stop blaming others.

Because building of roads and schools may not be regarded as projects. Because it’s the primary responsibility of government. People want to see industries as promised. They want to see our youth being gainfully employed.

Salaries and other entitlement paid as at when due. No more excuse. No more wasting of public funds on frivolous newspaper advertorials. Let the real deal be done!

It all started with Umana Umana. When it was obvious they wouldn't win. They diverted to Ita Awak. And then Ita Enang. Now, it's the turn of Obong Nsima Ekere.

And they probably used NDDC abandoned projects as their target. Even though the governor is yet to join issues with the matter. But at the same time.

He has not cautioned his aides. Meaning that they got his backings.

Or have we forgotten that keeping silence is the same thing as saying yes? Why the attack? Why the blackmails? Why the slanders against our brother? But surprisingly, Nsima has ignored them to a fault. But chooses to reply them through visible projects. And it angers them the most. That's maturity.

We know the origin. I mean how these wars came to bear. We also know why these crackers and the caterpillars are biting so hard. It's because the least expected happened.

No one dreamt of it. They never thought it would happen. It took them for a surprise. That’s the irony of life. The metaphor greatness. It would have been better. If they had let it go.

Forget about it. Align with it. Because the more they talk about it. Rehash it. Rethink it. Cross analyze it. Debate it. Respond to it. Get paranoid about it. Compete with it. Complain about it. Immortalize it. Cry over it. Kick it.

Defame it. Stalk it. Gossip about it. Pray over it. Put it down or dissect its motives. It continues to rot in their brain. It’s real. It is running.

Sweeping people like tsunami. Many others are joining. It is a done deal. It is time to bury the past because it smells up your life and no one wants to be near their rotted corpse of memories and decaying attitude.

I wish they could just be the funeral director of their lives and bury that thing. The earlier; the better for them! And not to embark on unnecessarily blackmails on pages of newspapers.

But before we crucify the governor. Let's remember where he came from. A man who never knew how to survive in politics.

A man who never knew how things work in politics. He was flown from nowhere. And probably forced on the people of Akwa Ibom.

That's why governance here is being turned into a animal kingdom. Meaning that our governor is still learning the rope. And it could take more than a decade. God forbid that we continue in such bondage!

Before we crucify the governor. Let's remember that he's just acting the script of another. Though he's the governor. But there's another governor behind the scene.

Let's remember that he did not send himself. But rather, someone else sent him. He was never ready. That's why things are like this. Let's just be patient with him, but with sense.

Yes, we made a mistake, but he must be ready to correct it soon. Because this war isn't befitting our existence. How can a governor uses public funds to fight its citizens? It's so unbecoming. So sympathetic.

How governance work here. Even the ruling party in the state are losing its members to the opposition. Something that never happened. Even though we know.

That it’s a sign or rejection. A sign that a particular family cannot run the state as a family affair. It will be over soon. It’s just a matter months.
