A-Ibom: Over 300 APC Members Decamped To PDP In Uruan LGA (Photos)

Leadership is best defined in its acceptability,the appointment of Mr Okon Okon as Chairman board of Internal Revenue by a promise keeping governor; Mr Udom Emmanuel in fulfilment of his Agenda of Political inclusion has compelled hitherto aggrieved sons and daughters of Uruan who missed their way to APC to make a complete reversal back to The Peoples Democratic Party(PDP).


Leadership like money is useless with lack of confidence and acceptability by the people, Mr Okon Okon's timely appointment has bridged the Political Laguna of elitism, biases and segregation,thereby raising the standard and expectations of the masses to align with prevailing Leadership realities of fairness, equity and Justice as exemplified overtime through tested and proven qualities embedded in Mr Okon Okon to deliver for his people cum Akwa Ibom State dividends of Inclusion as portrayed by Mr Udom Emmanuel towards Uruan Nation.

The APC members who willingly tore their party cards and burnt brooms as signs of no return were led by Obong Sylvanus Etim Okon and were received back into the Party by The Chapter Chairman Mr Obot.

 The Political Leader Of Uruan; Obong Prince Peter Ekpe Atakpo in his speech thanked Governor Udom Emmanuel for Appointing Mr Okon Okon as Chairman board of Internal Revenue, he reiterated that Mr Okon Okon was a square peg in a square with the capacity to deliver on the demands of the job given him by Mr Udom Emmanuel.

Prince Ekpe Atakpo reemphasized that Governor Udom Emmanuel has done more than he promised Uruan during the campaigns and that Uruan will reelect him without reservation come 2019.

Hon Aniekan Bassey,member representating Uruan in The 6th Assembly,was of the same line of thought, reminding those in attendance about the ranch, the estate, the roads and political inclusions of Mr Udom Emmanuel to Uruan people and pledged to partner more with all stakeholders in Uruan for the governor's reelection come 2019. 

He also pleaded with the Youths to always give right of way for construction of roads to be carried out peacefully.

" Today we thank Governor Udom Emmanuel for giving us Mr Okon Okon as a result of our steadfastness in the last election"- Hon Aniekan Bassey.

Hon Awawa Eka Enang,a former local government Chairman in Uruan,while speaking on behalf of former Chairmen in Uruan promised to support Governor Udom Emmanuel more fervently because of Mr Okon Okon likeable personality.

Speaking also on the event was Mrs Ephraim Inyang, FEYrep Coordinator who appreciated Uruan for the show of gratitude towards Mr Udom Emmanuel administration and took time to remind Uruan of the fish clean factory at Ishiet beach and homes for widows that will soon reach Uruan courtesy of Mrs Martha Udom Emmanuel.

High point of the event was the presentation of a souvenir to Mr Okon Okon by the Political Elders of south 1 led by Hon Dr Eventus Edem.

The event came to close with millions of thanks to Governor Udom Emmanuel by Mr Okon whom he stressed was the main reason why Uruan was agog today. 

He thanked God Almighty for making today possible and expressed surprise at the quantum of attendance in the event, He also enjoined all to go register and get their voters cards in preparation of 2019,since without a valid voters card it will be impossible to really tell Mr Udom Emmanuel thank for the enormous government presence in Uruan.
The event was gracefully chaired by Bar Edet Bassey.

Those who graced the event included Mr Val Attah, Mr Medo Medo, Obong Celestine, Engr JB Effiong,Hon Nsikak Okon,Hon Ekong,Hon Anthony Jude Akan, Rt Hon Usenobong Akpabio,Prince Godwin Ntukudeh, Pastor Bassey Isin,Obong Bassey Mbom,Prince Idara Tom,Engr Offiong Usen Akpabio,Bar Akpakan Okoho, Pastor Okokon Ewoh,Etubom Oku Obot,Akprawa Monday Etuk(Int'l President Mboho Mkparawa Ibibio),Hon Ekere Afia,Mr Leo Leo Umana,Hogan Ben Inyang, Mr Charles Orman,Mr Enu and a host of others too numerous to mention.
