Romans 8:16 NKJV
“The Spirit Himself bears witness with our spirit that we are children of God”.
As we believe God for supernatural direction in this year of reigning, you must be very well acquainted with how the Holy Spirit leads us. From the day you gave your life to Jesus Christ, the Holy Spirit began to witness to your heart. His first witness was to confirm to you that you are a child of God. It was the only way we could know that we were now saved after praying the sinner’s prayers.
But the Holy Spirit does not stop there, He begins to witness in that manner for the rest of your life on earth. He does this in divers ways; such as the increase or decrease of God’s Peace in your heart. When you are going to do something wrong, He will signal in your heart by withdrawing some of your peace as an indication that you are out of the plan of God. And when you are in line with God’s plan, He will cause such inner peace, joy and sweetness in your heart as a confirmation.
You will learn to master that voice of the Holy Spirit and not to ignore it for any reason. Ignoring or despising that prompting of the Spirit could be very detrimental to your life and destiny eventually. In Romans 8:14 Paul says those that are led by the spirit of God are the sons of God. Knowing the voice of the Holy Spirit and using it to your advantage is spiritual maturity. Sons are not children or babies, but mature children who can take responsibility.
Receive grace for relationship with the witnessing Spirit of God in Jesus Name.
