Isaiah 49:13-16 KJV
“Sing, O heavens; and be joyful, O earth; and break forth into singing, O mountains: for the Lord hath comforted his people, and will have mercy upon his afflicted. But Zion said, The Lord hath forsaken me, and my Lord hath forgotten me. Can a woman forget her sucking child, that she should not have compassion on the son of her womb? yea, they may forget, yet will I not forget thee. Behold, I have graven thee upon the palms of my hands; thy walls are continually before me”.
Satan can be very very wicked. Because he is the only one that would do anything and go to any length to convince you that God does not love you, and that God hates you. Well, let me remind you that the bible said that satan is a liar and the father of all liars. He has never told a truth in his miserable life, and will not begin to tell the truth in your case.
But let me establish a case for God as one that cannot lie. First of all, Titus 1:2 declares that God cannot lie. God did not lie to Joseph all the while he was in Egypt. Though it seemed he was forgotten, but God came through for him, irrespective of how long it took. God did not lie to Abraham and Sarah. After 25 years of waiting, God’s word to them came to pass, to the amazement of all; both in that time, even to this very day. God did not forget Hannah; He visited her with children and made her to have the last laugh. God cannot lie because He is not a man, and neither is He the son of man. The good news is this: God has not forgotten you, and you can take that to the bank.
Our text further drives home the truth that God has not forgotten you. He says that your name has been engraved on the palm of His hands. He didn’t write your name with any kind of ink or substance as that could be erased, but carved your name on His palms. Meaning that He sees you every day and every second; He has not forgotten you. As difficult as it is for a mother to forget her suckling child, that is how hard it is for him to forget you. Lift up your hands in praise and thanksgiving today, because the time of your visitation is near. Congratulations.
