“For God is not the author of confusion, but of peace, as in all churches of the saints”.
James 3:13-18;
If God is not the author of confusion, it therefore means that where there is no peace then there is no God. By extension, it therefore means that an easy way to get God to withdraw His presence from us is by disturbing the peace. Upon embarking on a thing, know that the loss of God’s peace is an indication that God is not in that thing anymore – Colossians 3:15(AMP). What I am trying to say here is that Peace is crucial to God and critical for anyone who seeks to enjoy God’s backing and presence on any matter.
An unbeliever may have anything in this world without God, yet there is something he can never have without God, and that is PEACE. Therefore, when peace is missing, it means that God is missing, and when God is missing, peace is automatically missing as well. So, the presence of Peace is an indication that God is present, and the absence of Peace could also mean that God is absent. So, a couple that does not do all that is needed to maintain peace at home would have invariably lost the presence of God without knowing. Satan always provokes married people to disagree so they could lose the peace of God, thereby making room for him to operate.
Peace is freedom from war, or when war comes to an end. It is a tranquility and calm state, free from disturbances or noise. It is a state of harmony with someone else, and freedom from conflict.
It is a state of friendship and freedom from conflict.
Peace is so powerful that when Jesus was leaving this world, the one thing He bequeathed to us was His peace. (John 14:27). Because an atmosphere of peace is an atmosphere of God. Let it be known that while peace persists and continues in a home, the enemy cannot penetrate it. Because the enemy must take away the peace to gain access. According to James 3:16 every evil work is possible where Peace is missing.
Marital peace therefore is a state of harmony between couples. It is also a state of harmony between the couple and God Almighty. Receive grace to do all within your power to gain and maintain marital peace in Jesus Name.
Action Points
-Investigate and fish out anything that causes your marriage to lose peace regularly.
-Have a solid discussion with your spouse over it, and proffer solutions.
-Agree in prayer for constant lasting peace in your home today.
Prayer
-Lord I receive Peace in my home in Jesus Name.
-Lord endue me with wisdom for lasting peace in Jesus Name.
-Lord please take away anything from me that threatens the peace of my marriage and my home in Jesus Name.
