Luke 16:10 KJV
“He that is faithful in that which is least is faithful also in much: and he that is unjust in the least is unjust also in much”.
Growing up, I have gotten wiser and smatter. I understand better that people don’t just show up at the top overnight. I have learnt firsthand, that people get to the top over-time and after some due process.
People at the top learnt all they know at the bottom. Diligence didn’t begin at the top, it began at the bottom. People learn how to manage much from managing little. Such that anyone who didn’t go through the stage of ‘little’ never gets to the top, and even If they do, they wouldn’t last there. This is solid wisdom.
A person who does not thank God today will not thank Him tomorrow. A person who cannot thank God for little things will never be able to thank Him for great things. And if God sees that you will be ungrateful in the future, He could personally ensure you do not leave your current level of supplies or favour. This is one of the reasons why many people never get to rise at all; they refused to learn all they needed to learn at their current level.
I once told my father in the Lord of how we were financially pressed in the middle of a massive building project, and I thought he was going to tell me some wisdom or strategy on how to either generate the money or something. Rather he said “why not thank God for the one you see currently, and God will increase it?” Even though it sounded so simple, I decided to develop the practice of profuse thanks to God each time I saw the income records of the ministry, instead of complaining as I used to do previously.
And true to type, the whole story changed mysteriously. Suffice it to say that we finished the building and attempted a few more buildings thereafter. Thank God for what you currently have and watch it grow and increase right before your eyes in Jesus Name.
Action Points
i. Take a look at where you are today and begin to thank God for it.
ii. Ask Him to forgive you for any way you despised today.
iii. Thank Him for where you are going.
Prayer
-Lord I thank you for where you brought me from.
- I also thank you for where I am today; and I thank you for the future I see.
-Thank you for where you are taking me in Jesus Name.
Nugget
Anyone who didn’t go through the stage of ‘little’ never gets to the top, and even If they do, they wouldn’t last there – grow through the process.
