Proverbs 11:30 KJV
“The fruit of the righteous is a tree of life; and he that winneth souls is wise”.
Several definitions have been given to what wisdom is. Wisdom is the correct application of knowledge. Wisdom is knowing what to do at every given time and situation. Wisdom has been said to be the ability to discern the difference between people and situations. But I present to you one more definition of wisdom today; wisdom is the ability to discern a soul in need of God, and to become the vessel through whom they connect with Him. The Bible categorically states that such a person is wise.
Wisdom is discerning and knowing the greatest need of a person at a particular point in time. Wisdom causing a person to receive the greatest gift ever given to mankind. Wisdom is connecting a man back to his maker in a love relationship. Wisdom is causing a person to have something for which they would turn back to thank you in the future; it is being a part of someone’s story forever. Such that their stories will never be complete until they mention your name. That is wisdom right there.
The Bible refers to winning souls as a fruit of righteousness which births a tree of life. It reminds me of the tree of life that Adam and Eve were forbidden from partaking of due to their disobedience in eating the tree of the knowledge of good and evil. God barred them from that tree by a flaming sword so they wouldn’t eat of it and live in misery forever. But the action of winning souls has exposed us to that tree again.
The tree’s fruit is called the fruit of righteousness. It may interest you to know that soul winning is one of the most powerful ways to stay and live in righteousness, because you cannot be winning souls and be living in sin. No way! You will be constantly reminded of eternity, and the souls saved through you will serve as a rebuke against sinful practices in your life for all times.
Receive that wisdom today in Jesus Name.
