Luke 10:1 KJV
“After these things the Lord appointed other seventy also, and sent them two and two before his face into every city and place, whither he himself would come”.
There are no meaningless details in the Bible. If the word of God says He sent then by twos’ then there is a strong meaning to that. The very set of two human beings that God ever made were husband and wife, according to Genesis 2:27. Thus, it is safe for us to deduce that Jesus didn’t just send two set of people, but a couple each. If He made them male and female at the beginning, it means He also sent them into an assignment.
There is a reason for everything. God did not make you marry each other so you could just have children alone. There are many good reasons why we marry each other, but one of the chiefest reasons is for the purpose of expanding the kingdom of God. There is an assignment to be accomplished by your marriage, and you may not attain certain levels of fulfillment if that assignment is not accomplished.
Marriage becomes boring at certain seasons if there is nothing under God that you both press to accomplish together. That is what will give you fulfillment, excitement and a sense of purpose as a couple. Do this and watch the joy of your marriage escalate to the high heavens in Jesus Name. Ask the Lord for the purpose of your marriage, and while you await the answer, go ahead and come up with souls’ project for your family.
Assignment
i. Ask the Lord for the assignment He has for your marriage and family.
ii. Make a project for your family from your passion today.
iii. Come up with some kind of soul winning project for your family.
Prayer
-Lord I thank you for blessing me with a great spouse in Jesus Name.
-Lord please open our eyes to the reason you allowed us to get married to each other.
-Please show us the kingdom implications of our marriage; show us our assignment in Jesus Name.
