No fewer than 10,000 youths from across the 12 local government areas of Eket
Senatorial District of Akwa Ibom State are expected to converge on Uyo for a
one day solidarity march in support of Governor Udom Emmanuel.
A statement by the convener of the march, Rt Hon Victor Antai reveals
that the event is tagged “The Great Solidarity March to Hilltop Mansion.”
The rally holding this Friday will see the youths
processing in a carnival float from the Uyo Township Stadium to the gates of
Government House along Wellington Bassey Way, Uyo.
According to the convener of the event, the Eket
Senatorial District Youths are satisfied with the outstanding performance of
the Governor in just two and a half years in office and are out to tell him
thank you for being a good leader.
The time for the take off from the Uyo stadium is
10am.
According to the statement, the event will also
feature performances by top class artistes from the district, while messages of
solidarity are expected from key youth leaders from the respective local
government areas. Dakkada Youth Initiative, Akwa Ibom State Youth Caucus, Akwa
Ibom State Youth Council, Mkparawa Martha Udom, Esu Nlap Oro, Afigh Iwad Ekid,
PDP Chapter and Ward Youth Leaders, Community Youth Presidents, Village Youth
