Luke 21:1-4 KJV
"And he looked up, and saw the rich men casting their gifts into the
treasury. And he saw also a certain poor widow casting in thither two mites.
And he said, Of a truth I say unto you, that this poor widow hath cast in more
than they all: For all these have of their abundance cast in unto the offerings
of God: but she of her penury hath cast in all the living that she had".
There are a few lessons I want to pull out from this
story above.
-The first thing is that God does inspect giving in His church till this day.
He sat to see how they were giving and what they were giving. So, we must know
that our givings are to God and not to men. It is God who knows who gave and
how well each of us gave.
-The best offerings are not the ones with the largest quantity but the ones
with the best quality. God expects us to give in proportion to His blessings in
our lives. So, each time we give He would love to see His blessings reflected
in our giving to Him. A man can give a million naira, and it will not be
anywhere near the quality of another person who gave one hundred naira. I say
this because the God who gave you what you have, knows you have under-given to
Him.
Sacrificial giving gets God's attention every time, if you release it.
Sacrifice produces great results each time. She gave
her all, even all that she had to live on, and Jesus called for an emergency
meeting on her account. That is how God calls for a quick meeting over your
giving. That woman never remained the same. All because she gave her best.
Receive grace to give your best in Jesus Name.
Assignment
-Determine to give your best each time from today.
Prayer
Lord please give me the grace to give my best to you from today in Jesus Name.
