“And they went forth, and preached every where, the Lord working with them, and confirming the word with signs following. Amen.”
Ever wondered why the church of Jesus Christ becomes so powerless at times? Have you bothered to know why the early church in Acts of the apostles were so powerful and effective? Do you know why the miraculous was such a normal thing in their time, to the point where the shadow of Peter and the handkerchiefs of Paul would heal the sick and cast out demons? The reason was in their focus; the answer lies in their assignment of souls. They got people saved by the thousands.
Peter preached and 3,000 got saved at once; at another instance it was 5,000 and then it became a multitude. The believers evangelized daily and got people saved and added to the church, according to Acts 2:47. It was not a once a week or once a month affair in the early church, evangelism was a daily affair. They won souls as they went along; as they worked and did their businesses. The result was increase in the church, but most importantly the power of God had fresh issues and problems to deal with each time. Unlike in our time where the same persons keep presenting themselves to God; people who were probably healed previously. New people and new cases stirs the power of God like nothing else.
They went everywhere, they had no limits. They were on a mission wherever they found themselves, and as far as they were concerned, everyone on their path had to be saved. As a result of this, God confirmed their words with signs following. Signs don’t just follow you, they follow the assignment.
This power of God is made manifest to convince soul that Jesus is Lord and that He died for their salvation. In my experience, it is one of the easiest way to manifest the power of God. Plug into the flow today by setting out to reach souls in Jesus Name.
Assignment
i. Set a target for yourself each day and each week for the number of souls that must be saved through you.
ii. Set a target for certain people known to you that must be saved within the shortest possible time, and begin to pray for them every day.
iii. Ask God to make you more souls conscious than ever before.
iv. Boldly declare and demonstrate the power of God each time you minister to souls from today and God will back you up in Jesus Name.
Prayer
-Lord use me wherever I find myself in Jesus Name.
-Lord I thank you for that free flow of your power on the path of my Evangelistic activities in Jesus Name.
