1 Corinthians 7:3 (KJV)
“Let the husband render unto the wife due benevolence: and likewise also the wife unto the husband”.

It is possible to have a godly marriage if you know what it takes. A couple may be godly (born again Christians) but do not know how to build a godly home. Today, I share with you a few things that makes a marriage godly.
1. When there had been a relationship with God from youth:
It is usually easy to practice godliness when God had been in the picture much earlier. Ecclesiastes 12:1; Lamentations 4:27. If you did not start nurturing a relationship with God from your youth, then make sure you pursue God like someone who lost something. If your parents did not train you in the way you should go, then commit to training and developing yourself in the way you should go. Stop taking things easy, and stop thinking you have time.

2. God must have been witness in your marriage at the beginning:
"He was witness between you and the wife of your youth" (Malachi 2:). It is not every marriage ceremony that Jesus attended or was witness to. For that reason, you may want to have a review of your foundation. You may need to confess to your husband, wife, pastor or to God Himself. James 5:16. There may be need for some kind of restitution.

3. The marriage must be seen as a covenant and not a contract:
Watch out for the difference between contract and covenant.
Receive grace for a godly home in Jesus Name.

Nugget
It is possible to have a godly marriage if you know what it takes; which is a healthy relationship with God. If your missed this from your youth, cultivate it now.
