Proverbs‬ ‭18:21‬ ‭NKJV‬‬‬‬‬‬‬‬
“Death and life are in the power of the tongue, And those who love it will eat its fruit.”

 

Whether you know it or not, believe it or not, life moves according to people's words. All that we see today and will see, were all products of people's word. It all began with God in Genesis, where we learn that the worlds were framed by the word of God. And God saw all that He said, they all came to pass. Then He created us in His image to be like Him, or in His likeness: which means we are meant to speak like Him to get things done as well.
 

Our text reveals that our tongue is what determines life and death. In fact, it says we are currently eating the fruit of our tongue. Now, people speak anyhow because they do not realize they are God's image, and as such they are supposed to watch their utterances. When you speak, things happen whether you see it, feel it, know it or not. As regards all you have said today, many things have happened already.
 

The next thing we want to know is the fact that our mouths have the power to produce life or death. God made us that way. Each time you speak, something dies or receives life. Please give life to the right things and death to the wrong things. With your mouth, you can arrange your future, you can destroy something negative in your body, the way Jesus cursed that fig tree in mark chapter eleven.
Arise and speak now, and you will see great results in Jesus Name.

Assignment/Prayer
-Make a list of things in your life that need life and speak life to them from now on.
-Note things in your life that to need die and speak death to them now in Jesus Name.

When you speak, things happen whether you see it, feel it, know it or not, so, please give life to the right things and death to the wrong things
