LIVING BY LOVE
Proverbs 10:12, KJV
“Hatred stirreth up strifes: but love covereth all sins.”
There are various ways to live life, and love is one of
them. People choose to live life the way they do, for various reasons. Such
that you can see a person and his or her approach to life, and tell where they
might be coming from and what encounters they might have had previously.
When
people have been hurt they tend to hurt other people on their path, and when
they have been betrayed in time past, you will see a serious lack of trust
emanating from them as well. They get to see life and treat people with the
lenses of their past.
It is also a very powerful thing when a person had
encountered Jesus Christ and His forgiveness in their lives. They too will find
themselves giving the love they just received from Jesus to others; they will
get to see things from that lens of God's love and mercy. One major way this
manifest is by forgiveness.
When love is on ground, forgiveness becomes the order of the day. It becomes
easy to overlook, let go, forgive, show mercy and release the past. This world
is such a messed-up place where people are constantly trying to outdo each
other.
Others are hell bent on revenging someone or some people. It is so hard
to see genuine love anywhere, as people are constantly trying to prove one
point or the other. I call on you and challenge you to see the world through
the eyes of love from today in Jesus Name. FORGIVE!
Assignment
i. Ask God to teach you how to really love.
ii. Ask God for grace to really forgive anyone in your past that may have hurt
you.
Prayer
-Lord please teach me to love by freely forgiving in Jesus Name.
