1:8 KJV
“This book of the law shall not depart out of thy
mouth; but thou shalt meditate therein day and night, that thou mayest observe
to do according to all that is written therein: for then thou shalt make thy
way prosperous, and then thou shalt have good success.”
Success is not as many see it; it is not in
acquisitions nor is it in possessions, but in your ways and practices.
Succeeding by the word is one of the safest ways to succeed anytime, any day.
When you succeed by the word, your success will be a wholistic one, in the
sense that you will not just possess things, but you will also possess self.
Many people succeed for all to see, and then lose themselves. They lose health,
integrity, family, character and fellowship with God. Many of such end up in a
godless eternity.
The word of God makes your way prosperous. This
means, it makes your life sound, it gives you healthy living in your spirit,
soul and body. When your way is prosperous, you will be laying the building
blocks for your future. Your ways and practices of today determines the outcome
of your future. It is only when you have a prosperous way, practice, lifestyle
or set of habits, that you will be able to have good success and not just
success.
So, the word of God poured into your spirit, will land
you in good success. For the record, good success is when you succeed with your
life intact; it is succeeding and still earning the respect of people. Good
success is succeeding with men and succeeding with God at the same time. Good
success is making it in life, with a burden-free conscience. I could as well
say that good success is succeeding without pulling anyone down and without
blood on your hands.
All these will only happen because of God's word in your
heart, in your mind and in your mouth; which will in turn result in a
prosperous way of living. If your way of living has not improved, then you have
not really encountered the word of God.
Receive good success in Jesus Name.
Assignment
i. Go over today's devotional again and make personal notes for yourself.
ii. Ask God for grace to engage the word of God the way you should.
Prayer
-Lord create an insatiable thirst and hunger for Your word in my spirit in
Jesus Name.
-Lord cause Your word to bring healing to my personal life in Jesus Name.
-Father, by your word, please confront any kind of lifestyle that is
detrimental to my future in Jesus Name.

If your way of living has not improved, then you have not really encountered
the word of God.
