Mark 5:35-36 NKJV
“While He was still speaking, some came from the ruler of the synagogue’s house who said, “Your daughter is dead. Why trouble the Teacher any further?” As soon as Jesus heard the word that was spoken, He said to the ruler of the synagogue, “Do not be afraid; only believe.”
Evil reports are not just for your information, but they are targeted to destroy your faith completely. The people from Jarius's house concluded that there was nothing that could be done, and that his daughter was already dead. But what they didn't know was that with the master, there is nothing like "too late". There is a power beyond the grave, it is a power that death cannot handle. This power can overrule death any day. Die and be buried if you want, one command from Jesus will raise you up, and even if you die, get buried and stay there for years, yet only one touch from the body of an anointed man like Elisha will jack you back to life. "Only believe"; that is the answer.
Anything that attacks your belief or your faith in God is capable of utterly destroying and obliterating you from the earth. Because in your faith is your hope, and in your faith, is your future. Remember, it is the substance of things hoped for. The response of Jesus to Jarius was quite troubling in a sense. How do you tell a man who has just been informed of his daughter's death to only believe, and nothing else? I thought there should be something extra he could do in addition to believing. But Jesus said "no, all I need from you is your faith; only believe".
What God said then, is what He is still saying now, "only believe". He said to the father of the young man who had a dumb and tormenting spirit "all things are possible to him that believes", (Mark 9:23). Elizabeth said to Mary "blessed is she that believes, for there shall be a performance of those things that were told her of the Lord ", (Luke 1:45). All God wants you to do is to believe. Jesus would not heal some people until He asked "do you believe I can do this"? The reason is that God does not waste His time with people who don't believe.
Receive grace to believe in Jesus Name; Only believe!
Assignment
-Thank God for this word, and rejoice from your heart.
-Repent of every time you didn't believe God.
-Begin to declare your faith by verbal declarations.
Prayer
-Lord I believe your word.
-Lord I believe your Spirit's ministrations to my heart.
-Lord I believe your plans for me, and I rejoice at them in Jesus Name.
-Lord help my unbelief, and help me believe you more in Jesus Name.
