Mark 5:25-29 NKJV
“Now a certain woman had a flow of blood for twelve years, and had suffered many things from many physicians. She had spent all that she had and was no better, but rather grew worse. When she heard about Jesus, she came behind Him in the crowd and touched His garment. For she said, “If only I may touch His clothes, I shall be made well.” Immediately the fountain of her blood was dried up, and she felt in her body that she was healed of the affliction.”
A few things have been unconsciously covered in the story of the woman who had the issue of blood. A careful study of her story will reveal certain steps that she took, which made her come up with the healing that she had. Just knowing the story on the surface is not enough. Here are few faith steps she took:
i. She heard about Jesus:
There can be no faith without hearing, because faith comes by hearing and hearing God's word, and Jesus is the word of God. So, she heard the word of God, and that built faith in her.
ii. The next was that she took steps towards Jesus:
She did not sit down with a useless hope. She took steps, she made moves, she went after Jesus. She saw thousands of people around Jesus but she never got discouraged. She came behind in the press till she could touch the helm of His garment.
iii. She released her faith continually:
We have confirmed that opening your mouth in declaration of what you want is the release of your faith. This woman did just that, she didn't just say something, but she kept saying something. Let's read the amplified bible rendition of that verse;
"For she kept saying, If I only touch His garments, I shall be restored to health".
She kept saying she would be made whole if she touched His garment. When they pushed her down, when the crowd was too much and when people tried to discourage her; all she kept saying was "if I just touch the helm of His garment I shall be made whole.” Well, she touched His garment and she was made whole.
Release your faith on a regular basis from today and watch your fortunes change in Jesus Name.
Assignment/Prayer
i. Practice persistence by refusing to give up on that thing you are confident that God will do for you.
ii. Keep confessing what you believe until you see it.
iii. Lord, I trust you to come through for me and I will testify of your goodness.
Nugget
There can be no faith without hearing, because faith comes by hearing and hearing God's word, and Jesus is the word of God.
