Why Collaboration Is a Problem To Nsima Ekere And His Goons - CYL

"So we are calling on the office of the Secretary to the Federal Government to prevail on the Federal Agencies and Commissions to sit with the state government and plan how to utilise the money in line with the development vision of each state " Governor Udom Emmanuel.

It's a societal tragedy that the above quote which is in very simple English has sent many hired Apologist of opposition on a rampage of ignorance. The core words there are "sit" and "plan", which invariably means let's " Collaborate ".

The Dictionary should suffice here on the actual meaning of the word collaboration:

1). General: Cooperative arrangement in which two or more parties (which may or may not have any previous relationship) work jointly towards a common goal.

2). Knowledge management (KM): Effective method of transferring 'know how' among individuals, therefore critical to creating and sustaining a competitive advantage. Collaboration is a key tenet of KM.

3). Negotiations: Conflict resolution strategy that uses both assertiveness and cooperation to seek solutions advantageous to all parties. It succeeds usually where the participants' goals are compatible, and the interaction among them is important in attaining those goals.

Based on simplified version of this foreign tongue, one finds it difficult to fathom why Nsima Ekere's lackeys are throwing tantrums. Why is sitting to plan for the development of our dear state raising political dust? If Nsima Ekere and co are really thinking good about Akwa Ibom State, why are they afraid to " sit" and "plan" on how they are going to use "Our Money" to develop our state?

Let's stop and think on this scenario:

We have a house (Akwa Ibom State) which receives royalty (Compensation for Oil Exploration) that is managed by an agent(NDDC) we engaged, the agent then decides to renovate our house without knowing our core areas of needs.

We then approach "Our agent" to sit with Us and plan on how accrued royalty will be properly executed to our benefit, the agent flares and calls our bluff, what do you think we should do to such overzealous agent? Your guess is as good as mine. Resist of course.

Corruption remains the underlining factor why Nsima Ekere and his goons would rather cause a scene than collaborate with Akwa Ibom State Government.

This is our State with a democratically elected Governor as Chief Executive Officer(CEO) in the person of Mr Udom Gabriel Emmanuel. He is the one we all gave overwhelming votes to man the affairs of this state, therefore the refusal by any Federal Agency to "sit" and "plan" with the leadership of the state is unacceptable.

If Nsima Ekere has no skeleton in the cupboard, if he has no hidden intentions and agenda of embezzling funds meant for the Development of Niger Delta, why is he afraid?

We the Youths of Akwa Ibom State are grateful to God for granting Mr Udom Emmanuel the political will towards bridging the artificial gap created by the NDDC MD, Mr Nsima Ekere since his appointment.

Knowing that 2015 election is history having been confirmed by the Supreme God and court, Governor Udom Emmanuel has always called on all to join in proper governance and development of Akwa Ibom State, and once more he beckons on all Federal agencies and commissions to come let's "sit" and "plan".

If Nsima Ekere can not "sit" with the Governor like Obong Umana Okon Umana did for whatever selfish reason, he can send a representative for the love of Akwa Ibom State while his days are being counted as MD of NDDC.

Even God Almighty in the Holy Book showed the example of calling on his creature(man) to come " let's reason together". There is no crime in reasoning together.

As youths of this great state, we want to plead and also advise Obong Nsima Ekere not to let this window of collaboration pass him by, for he will not be NDDC MD for ever and history will not be fair to him if he chooses to spend his time in office conflicting developmental issues with the Government of his home State, instead of aiding in the building of the new Akwa Ibom dream.

Nevertheless, let it be on record that if any Federal Agency refuses to collaborate with the custodian of our Divine Mandate in planned infrastructural developments and visions for the State, we shall be at the forefront of such resistance, which is why we pray they tread the path of honour and accept the olive branch while there is still time.

God Bless Akwa Ibom State.

Solidarity Forever.

Signed

Micheal Joseph Okon
Int'l President.
Nsisong Umoh
Secretary General.
