Silence Is Not Weakness: A Letter To Onofiok Luke And The AKHA

It is a known fact, that the Akwa Ibom State House of Assembly, under your leadership, has continued to promote laws that are obnoxious to the very people you all swore to protect.

In a sinister move to pass the controversial property charge bill into law, you and your colleagues hurriedly put up a public hearing to that effect.

I woke this morning to a message on my phone, that the public hearing for the property charge bill holds this morning.

For strong personal reasons, I am away from the hearing. But it does not take my mind away, from the organized charade and fraud being perpetrated against the people of the state.

Usoro Akpanusoh, is only a conduit, upon which the property charge bill is being championed in the house.

I am not writing to tell you and your colleagues about 2019 elections, but it is to let you know, that if you have never failed in your political career, this will be your albatross.

Leadership of the state House of Assembly, goes beyond eating corn by the road side and taking snapshots.

We are aware, how Udom Emmanuel is using the leadership of the house of Assembly to impoverish the people.

It is this house, you superintend as the speaker.

For some of us, we will never fail to say the truth, in the midst of bootlickers and political jobbers around.

I write to convey my position to you and the entire members of the state House of Assembly, that it will never be business as usual.

If stopping the property charge bill is the only thing i will achieve in life for generations unborn, I will do it.
It is a painful road, but one thing is supreme, even if i am alone in the struggle, I will see it to a successful end.

Whatever is your interest and that of Akpanusoh to get the bill passed, including the Governor, before your very eyes, you will all fail.

This is one bill where your leadership strength has been tested, and you have failed.

The House of Assembly has taken our silence for weakness for too long.

Despite the overwhelming rejection of the bill in February, 2017, proponents of the devilish bill found its way back to the Assembly.

They want to get percentages from tax consultants, who will go about taxing people.

There are other ways of stealing money from politics, this is not one of it.

I know the sycophants who gets peanuts to support this evil, because they are on the house payroll.

A million reason will not convince me on the property charge bill, in so far as it concerns the masses.

None of you in the Assembly have the people at heart. What matters to you all, remains your stomachs and families.

There is always a price to pay for everything.

We will use the instrumentality of the courts to stop this evil from the so called House of Assembly.
Where it fails, we will let the government know our position.

AKWA IBOM is not LAGOS.

Tell the Lagos returnees to return to their comfort Zones.

I am not here to massage your ego and that of the House of Assembly, but to let you understand that the future of the property charge bill remains unknown.

Our position is that, we will never support the property charge bill, where people will build their houses and the government will come and task them, as if there was a public private partnership. (PPP).

Even the Bible records, that wisdom is profitable to direct. Let wisdom guide you.

A REPUTATION FOUNDED FOUNDED ON INTEGRITY MUST BE NURTURED BY TRUTH.
