Uyo stood still on June 3, 2017, as Mrs Inemesit Uwah, Wife of the
newly appointed Chairman, Uyo Capital City Development Authority,
UCCDA, Prince Enobong Uwah marked her 40th birthday in style.
The event which was marked with a grand ceremony at the Emerald Event Centre, Edet Akpan Avenue, Uyo, attracted the Who-is-who, in Akwa Ibom State and beyond including the political class, elected and appointed political office holders, State Executive members, Legislators led by the Speaker, Akwa Ibom State House of Assembly, Rt. Hon. Barrister Onofiok Luke, captains of industry, the clergy, women and youth groups, also had in attendance, the State Governor, His Excellency, Mr UdomGabriel Emmanuel, the Deputy Governor, H. E. Mr Moses Ekpo and former Governor, His Excellency, Otuekong Idongesit Nkanga among others.
Governor Udom Emmanuel who described the
celebrator as a virtuous wife, home maker and role model said, he is
happy to identify with the family of his aide, Prince Enobong Uwah,
commending him for his high sense of loyalty, steadfastness and
principled stand on issues.
Governor Emmanuel observed that, Mrs Inemesit Uwah is a positive influence on her spouse and wished her many more years of happiness in marriage.
Harping that life begins at 40,
Governor Emmanuel charged her to rededicate her life to the continued
selfless service of humanity and expressed confidence that God who
brought her this far will see her through and bless her with long life.
On his part, Deputy Governor Moses Ekpo hailed Mrs Inemesit Uwah and thanked God for preserving her to see and mark her 40th birthday. Mr Ekpo wished the couple more milestones in life together and prayed for good health and better days ahead.
Speaker Onofiok Luke also hailed the qualities of the celebrator and thankwd God for her life. He prayed God Almighty to grant Mrs Inemesit Uwah blessings in all ramifications.
Earlier in a moving tribute, Prince Enobong Uwah wrote his wife, "Finegirl, words fail me today but my heart beats in tremendous joy as you turn 40.
Being married to you for 11 years is the
best thing that has happened to me. You are my jewel of inestimable
value, my wife, lover, friend, sister and mother.
I and our lovely kids
wish you the peace of the Lord that passeth human understanding, now and
forever more. I love you!"
The event which attracted overflowing
crowd of well wishers, political associates and supporters was marked
with fanfare, music, praise worship and a homily which was given by Rev.
Mrs Ashing.
