Mark 11:12-14 KJV
“And on the morrow, when they were come from Bethany, he was hungry: And seeing a fig tree afar off having leaves, he came, if haply he might find any thing thereon: and when he came to it, he found nothing but leaves; for the time of figs was not yet. And Jesus answered and said unto it, No man eat fruit of thee hereafter for ever. And his disciples heard it.”
Ever heard of the saying: "he that laugh last, laugh
best"? It is a very true saying indeed. It is a situation where someone
rejoices too early over whatever harm they may have inflicted on you, or
what tragedy or disappointment you may have encountered.
And when they
must have conclusively celebrated your calamity something good just
happens from nowhere in your favour.
Sometimes, it could be something
worse happening to them. So, I decree today that you will have the last
laugh in whatever situation you find yourself in Jesus Name.
One way to ensure you laugh last is by making sure you have the last say. Jesus didn't just speak to the fig tree, He rather answered and said to it. Jesus responded to what the tree must have said to Him; He replied the tree.
Meanwhile, we have never really gotten to ask about what the tree
must have said to Him. I believe the tree must have said "it is not the
season for fig fruit".
The tree must have mocked Him by saying "are you
ignorant, who looks for fig fruit by this time"? And maybe the tree
simply just ignored His request for fruit to satisfy His hunger, and you
know how terrible it can be when you’re so miserably ignored?
Sometimes, you go to your fridge for food, only to find it empty, or your account officer tells you that your account is in the red, or you did a medical test and you are told that you have HIV or some evil disease.
You should know that the enemy just spoke to you and into your
life, and you must not let him have the last say; you must reply,
respond, and answer.
Sometimes, silence can be interpreted as agreement
to what has been said; it can mean a license to your enemy or to a
situation. Jesus answered and said..., so when will you answer and say
something? It doesn't matter how many times the enemy speaks and it
doesn't matter through whom he speaks, you must consistently and
insistently have the last say.
Tell that devilish situation that you do
not have HIV, tell the doctor that you do not have diabetes, tell
everyone who cares to know that you are not a failure.
Declare who you
are, what you are, what you have, what you do not have, and where you
are going, etc. by all means, have the last say in Jesus Name.
Assignment/Prayer
-It is a simple assignment and prayer today: just open your mouth and reply everything the enemy ever told you.
-Release an answer to your situation, test result, or to the bad news
you received. Arise and speak, reply, respond, and answer in Jesus Name.
Nugget
It doesn't matter how many times the enemy speaks or through whom he speaks, you must consistently and insistently have the last say.
