Luke 8:23-25 NKJV
“But as they sailed He fell asleep. And a windstorm came down on the
lake, and they were filling with water, and were in jeopardy.
And they
came to Him and awoke Him, saying, “Master, Master, we are perishing!”
Then He arose and rebuked the wind and the raging of the water. And they
ceased, and there was a calm.
But He said to them, “Where is your
faith?” And they were afraid, and marveled, saying to one another, “Who
can this be? For He commands even the winds and water, and they obey
Him!”
We were created in the image and likeness of God, not for
the purpose of priding ourselves in it, or for the sake of feeling good
and high about it, but so we could operate like Him.
We were created in
His image so we could observe the way He does things and then imitate
Him in our daily living. This was why God made man a speaking spirit by
breathing into him the breath of life.
The Aramaic translation of the
Bible rendered it differently, where it was said that man became a
living soul, it was rendered as "man became a speaking spirit" (Genesis
2:7).
There are only two creatures with speaking abilities in the world
apart from God, and man is the only one of these creatures in the class
of God. God speaks to get things done; man is to take a lead from that.
When God speaks, everything hears and responds. So, when everyone in
the class of God speaks, everything hears and responds as well.
Everything in this world; living and non-living, has been made to hear
the voice of God and the voice of His god's; referring to us.
God is not
called the God of gods, Lord of lords and King of kings for nothing. We
are the small lords, kings and gods.
Jesus spoke to a fig tree, He
spoke to the wind when He said "peace", then He spoke to the sea by
saying "be still". Jesus spoke to dead bodies and they came back to
life, which means that dead bodies can hear too.
Jarius’ daughter heard
Him and came back to life; the corpse of the widow’s only son was on the
way for interment when Jesus stopped the procession and called him back
to life.
Even greater than all these miracles; Jesus called a
four-day-old corpse by name Lazarus, to life and it obeyed. Everything
has been programmed by God to hear and obey God and His children.
The purpose of this word today is to make you know that if you do not speak to anything and everything that stands in the way of your progress and destiny, then you are under-living and under-utilizing your creation and redemptive privileges as well as the power of God. You will be seriously harassed, beaten, and messed up if you fail to release your faith by speaking.
Speak now! Speak to your body and your health,
speak to your finances, speak to your business and your carrier, speak
to your projects, speak to everything in Jesus Name.
Be blessed as you speak in Jesus Name.
Assignment
i. Speak to all that concerns you and command them to work for your pleasure.
ii. Keep speaking and never stop speaking until you see results.
Prayer
-Lord I receive the grace to open my mouth in power and grace in Jesus Name.
-I speak and I command all that concerns me to fall in line with God's purpose for my life in Jesus Name.
