Hebrews 11:6 NKJV
“But
without faith it is impossible to please Him, for he who comes to God
must believe that He is, and that He is a rewarder of those who
diligently seek Him.”
Have you ever heard where Jesus said "my
father is always with me, because I do those things that please Him"? I
have really wondered how I could come to the place of really pleasing
God, so He could always be with me.
Then, I realize that there can be no
other way to please God other than by faith. I realized that faith is
believing in your heart and confessing in your mouth; Romans 10:9.
This
was how we got saved in the first place, and when we did this, God was
pleased. As a result, our sins were washed away and our past forgotten -
that was a very big miracle and still is. This was faith at work, and
it pleased God.
Now whatever you did to get saved is the same thing
you will do to receive anything from God. It will take pleasing God the
way you pleased Him at the beginning to get any other thing from Him.
How will this work? Confess it and believe in your heart; just the same
way you got saved.
This is what is called faith in action. When you
believe in your heart you connect to God, and when you confess or
declare with your mouth you create that thing you have believed for.
These things please God, because it is living and acting like Him.
When
we fail to believe God, He is grieved and displeased. God hates it when
we fail to believe Him; it is like a father who is disbelieved by his
own child. That can break his heart so much. It is questioning the very
integrity of your father right before his face.
Remember James said in the first chapter and the fifth through the seventh verses, that when you ask for wisdom, you must ask in faith and nothing doubting, because a doubter is a double minded man, and let not that man think he will receive anything from the Lord. So, how do you ask in faith? The process is the same; believe and declare, that is faith!
So, if you are
struggling with a sinful habit, then declare and believe that you are
holy, because sin shall not have dominion over you.
Also, when you are
trusting God for financial blessing, ask, believe and declare that you
are blessed, rich and prosperous.
This applies to all aspects of your
life. When you do this, God will be pleased, and when He is pleased,
your life will know pleasure.
Receive grace to please God with your faith in a Jesus Name.
Assignment
i. Thank God for today's word.
ii. Make a list of all the things you desire, and then apply this principle to all of them.
iii. Constantly and consistently operate in thanksgiving and never be
caught murmuring, even when you don't understand what is going on any
more.
Prayer
-Lord I thank you for today's message in Jesus Name.
-Lord I declare and I believe that all my needs are met in Jesus Name.
-I thank you for all you have done, are doing and will do in my life in Jesus Name.
