II Corinthians 5:7 NKJV
“For we walk by faith, not by sight.”
If you will live a successful life of faith, then you must begin to
train your spirit to overrule what your eyes see.
Nothing kills faith like the sights of the eyes. The devil’s most powerful weapons to paralyze your faith are the things with which he feeds your eyes with.
This explains why Paul said in our text that we do not walk, operate or conduct ourselves by sight but by faith. The reason is because faith despises what is visible, but deals with the invisible. It is the evidence of things NOT SEEN.
Faith does not wait to see things before believing, rather faith believes to see. Take a look at what David had to say about believing: “I had fainted, unless I had believed to see the goodness of the Lord in the land of the living.”
Psalms 27:13 KJV. In our kingdom, if you wait to see things before believing God, then you will drown in pain, shame, poverty and adversities. We believe for all we get to see. Faith makes you believe for all that you desire, so you can see them.
Let me make it clear to you right now that if you have believed God for anything, you will surely see them come to pass in Jesus Name.
The other side to this is that things may appear so drastic, horrible and daunting; they may appear so insurmountable and impossible, but even in such a situation, never be intimidated or discouraged in any way; it is just a sight, don't believe it. There is another set of eyes in your spirit, rather operate by those set of eyes.
The way to do it is to see things from the word of God. When the enemy shows you a terrible thing, you also show the devil what the word of God says about what you just saw. Do this consistently and your spiritual eyes would have been activated.
Your eyes will never deceive you again in Jesus Name.
Assignment/Prayer
i. Ask God to activate your spiritual eyes today in Jesus Name.
ii. Make a list of all the various challenges confronting you and tell them what the word of God says.
iii. Begin to believe and declare what you want to see from today.
Nugget
Faith does not wait to see things before believing, rather faith believes to see.
