The Power Of Consistency - By P. Ezekiel Atang

Psalms 1:1-3 KJV

“Blessed is the man that walketh not in the counsel of the ungodly, nor standeth in the way of sinners, nor sitteth in the seat of the scornful. But his delight is in the law of the Lord; and in his law doth he meditate day and night.

And he shall be like a tree planted by the rivers of water, that bringeth forth his fruit in his season; his leaf also shall not wither; and whatsoever he doeth shall prosper.”

To be consistent is to be constant about something. To be consistent is to be regular and persistent about a practice.

There can never be real results where there is no consistency. Anything not consistently done will never deliver its dividends.

Every successful person is as successful as they are because they have consistently engaged and practiced certain principles to the point where it has become a habit in them.

The man in our text engaged in a consistent practice of reading and meditating on the word of God, after parting ways with the ungodly, sinners and mockers. The study of the word became a night and day affair for him. That was consistency right there.

Many call it "stick-to-it-ability"; which is the ability to stick to something till it yields results. Too often we do a thing for a short while and then give up in discouragement, simply because we do not see any difference.

The fact is that growth doesn't appear apparently, but it doesn't mean that it is not happening. No person had ever seen or watched themselves grow tall.

We didn't get to watch our arms and legs grow, we only woke up to see that we had grown taller or fatter. All we needed to do was to eat consistently.

With this kind of wisdom, anything is possible; attaining any height is possible, and achieving any goal becomes possible. There is what can happen to your life if you are a consistent reader.

There is what can happen to you if you pray consistently, there is a destination for the man who gives consistently, too many benefits awaits a person who prays, fasts, exercises, and even resists sin, all consistently.

So, locate demands for where you want to reach in a few years and consistently engage those practices and we will see you at the top in Jesus Name.

Assignment
i. Select certain practices you will consistently engage in, and make sure you stick to them.
ii. Ask God for grace to be consistent in every good thing.

Prayer
-Lord I receive the grace for consistency in Jesus Name.
-I reject all forms of confusion, distractions and discouragements in Jesus Name.

Nugget

There can never be real results where there is no consistency because anything not consistently done will never deliver its dividends.
