"I am morally conflicted in this Buhari matter

Of course I didn't vote for President Buhari and was never sold on him being president in 2015 for countless reasons.

Ordinarily I should join the bandwagon of those asking him to resign or even abuse him for going AWOL on us.

Yet I don't feel that way.

I actually pity and sympathize with our President. If my prayers can restore his health I am willing to pray and fast for him to get well and strong immediately. Frankly, I want him to at least complete his 4 years term of office.

It won't be right to blame a man for the electoral mistake of 15m folks that included those we thought were learned and altruistic, such as Prof Wole Soyinka, Prof Tam David West, Pastor Tunde Bakare, Rev. Father Mbaka, Mrs Oby Ezekwesili, Prof Pat Utomi, Prof Chukwuma Soludo, Prof Itsay Sagay, Chief Dele Mamodu, Bola Ahmed Tinubu, Senator Dino Maleye, Babatunde Fashola, Rotimi Amaechi, Chris Ngige, Senator Sani, Rabiu Musa Kwankwanso, Emir Sanusi Lamido, Prof Attahiru Jega, John Odigie Oyegun, Senator Bukola Saraki, loquacious Adams Oshiomole and many others we thought loved Nigeria and should know better.

Frankly, the 15m voters and their leaders are the ones to blame and abuse for the situation we have found ourselves in Nigeria today.

Buhari had legitimate rights to seek to be president of Nigeria a second time. It is therefore morally wrong to blame and abuse him for winning the election.

He didn't cast 15m votes for himself and he couldnt possibly have been at all the polling units to rig himself in, if you believe he was rigged in.

It is also not Buhari's fault that he is currently indisposed, health-wise. At his age, if even that is his real age, we should expect him to have all sorts of health challenges.

Younger persons also get sick from time to time, even without the massive load of leading a nation like Nigeria. Yar Adua was much younger.

There is absolutely nothing wrong with a 74 year old president being ill. But surely there are many things wrong with voting for a 74 year old who never improved himself while out of power more than 30 years ago.

There was no particular reason that recommended Buhari at 72 over and above most of those who conspired to foist him on us, especially in these days and time.

Those who spearheaded the emergence of President Buhari are the ones who are EVIL and with ill or selfish motives that had nothing to do with the good of NIGERIA. Not Buhari that asked for the votes of his countrymen.

Focus your abuses and insults on those ones, some of who are currently working hard to redeem themselves by attempting to bleach the memory of Nigerians.

Soon they will join in abusing Buhari in order to redeem themselves and then cap it up with okpotokpo bekee that actually mean nothing.

The gullible will clap, as usual. Nigerian political bourgeois know that Nigerians have short memories and are easy to deceive into forgiving or forgetting. One good populist speech, in Nigeria, can turn Osisikankwu into a national hero overnight.

By all means, please pray for our President to recover his health. He did not wrong us by defeating Jonathan who was not even prepared to win.

Let Buhari complete his term because if he doesn't the same evil persons that consciously foisted him on us will return with a more sinister plot.

-Voice from the wilderness of Nigeria has spoken on May Day."
