More Families Benefit From FEYReP's Shelter Support Programme

Two families in the State have taken delivery of two bedroom well furnished bungalows each , provided for them by the wife of the state governor,Mrs. Martha Udom Emmanuel under the Shelter Support Programme of her pet project – Family Empowerment and Youth Reorientation Path-initiative (FEYReP). 


The houses built in Ikot Udo Obobo village, Ukanafun Local Government Area and Idung Ikon in Esit Eket Local Government Area respectively were handed over to the families by Mrs. Emmanuel who reaffirmed her commitment towards putting smiles on the faces of every Akwa Ibom family.

She appreciated God for His grace to positively impact lives in the state, saying she is only a vessel in the hand of God.

The Governor’s wife stressed that the houses were built by FEYReP for the families in order to ameliorate their untold hardship, advising the beneficiaries to avail themselves the opportunity of the state Government’s free and compulsory education policy by ensuring that their children go to school.

Mrs. Emmanuel further charged them to take their children to God to secure their future, and thanked her husband Mr. Udom Emmanuel for supporting her vision.

She added that the governor remains committed to industrializing the state so jobs will be provided for the teeming youths, calling on all to keep faith with the administration.

The Coordinator of FEYReP, Mrs. Ime Inyang noted that the programme tagged 'Our Shelter of Hope Programme was aimed at giving hope to the hopeless in the society, pointing out that FEYReP remains committed to adding positive value to lives in the state.

At Ukanafun Local Government Area, the Governor's Wife was received by the Hon. Commissioner for Local Government and Chieftaincy Affairs, Mr. Udo Ekpeyong, the Local Government Transition Chairman, Abasiodion Udomfo, party stalwarts as well as other stakeholders who thanked Mrs. Emmanuel for providing the 35 year old widow, Mrs. Love Tommy and her four Children a new home at Ikot Udo Obobo village.

Mr. Ekpeyong in his capacity also promised to drill a borehole and as well provide a generator for the widow to assist and sustain her family. He on behalf of the entire people of Ukanafun promised their unalloyed support to the administration beyond 2019.

In appreciation, the beneficiary widow thanked her Benefactor, Mrs. Martha Udom Emmanuel for ending her years of untold hardship and tales of woes and for turning her into a recipient of blessings from unexpected quarters.

At Esit Eket, Idung Ikon community came alive as the people turned out in their numbers to receive Mrs. Emmanuel and her entourage, to celebrate the handing over of a new house to the family of Mr. & Mrs. Johnson Sam, a development that the Transition Chairman, Mr. Robson and wife of the House member representing Esit Eket / Ibeno State Constituency, Mrs. Ini Usoro Akpanusoh and other political stakeholders lauded.

They commended the governor’s wife for her motherly love for the susceptible in the society describing it as legendary, and as well avowed their unwavering support and loyalty to the government beyond 2019.

In his appreciation, the beneciary Mr. Johnson Sam flanked by his wife and children poured encomium on the governor’s wife for being an angel to his family at this point in their lives, praying that God will grant her more successes in the future.

The Governor’s wife also had gifts for widows in the two local government areas visited.
