Malachi 3:10 NKJV
“Bring all the
tithes into the storehouse, That there may be food in My house, And try
Me now in this,” Says the LORD of hosts, “If I will not open for you the
windows of heaven And pour out for you such blessing That there will
not be room enough to receive it.”
A few days ago, I showed us
that seeds sown could die in the ground due to the lack of rain, and
that rain only comes when the heavens are opened.
However, the heavens
do not open just like that. Our tithes make the heavens open for the
rain to fall. These are eternal truths that cannot be disputed.
Any
believer who is interested and serious about prospering must find the
laws and principles that make it possible; and these are the laws of
tithes and seed.
Now let's take it a step further. Let us consider
that all our labour in life are our seed. I am referring to our career,
businesses, investments, and all that we do to have income (or harvest).
We also need to see the fact that God said our tithes will make Him
pour us out a blessing, so, our work gives us harvest while our tithing
gives us the blessing. Please note also the first thing God gave to man
after creation was the blessing, (Genesis 1:28).
The blessing is
responsible for fruitfulness as is written in the same Genesis 1:28. If
the way to be fruitful (or have harvest) is to be blessed, then tithing
is the way to be blessed.
The blessing is the intangible while the fruit
is the tangible, but understand that without the intangible, the
tangible will not be possible.
If this is so, and I know it is, you
can't be serious about prosperity by tithing alone or sowing seeds
alone; the two go hand in hand. I have been tithing from my teenage
years to this day, and I am in my mid-forties, I can testify to the fact
that this principle works. It is the blessing of the Lord that makes
rich and not your hard work alone; (Proverbs 10:22).
There are a few
things that make God bless us, and one of them is the power and
principle of tithing. In summary; when we sow our seed, God releases the
blessing and when we tithe the ground is meant to yield us a harvest.
But don't forget that the ground was cursed for man's sake, as such,
each time we tithe we neutralize that curse. Only then does the ground
releases the harvest of our seed to us.
This therefore confirms that it
is the blessing of the Lord that makes rich and not just our seed or
hard work as the case may be. Receive understanding in Jesus Name.
Receive grace to practice this wisdom and receive your harvest in Jesus Name.
