Attention:
Hon. Monday Eyo
Member Representing Uyo State Constituency
AKHA, Udo Udoma Complex
14/04/2017
Sir,
For a number of occasions, I have shown genuine interest without any iota of prejudice whatsoever towards the affairs of my immediate constituency in line with cardinal principles of democratic ethics which is simply put; the government of the people, by the people and for the people.
As a matter of exigency and chivalrousness, I would not hesitate to state succinctly that I totally believe in the entrenchment of the principles of justice, equity and fairness in all my little endeavor. This I have been doing as a law abiding citizen of our great nation and state.
I have written you memos via this medium on many times on the need for the purpose of the subject matter. Whenever I express my candid opinion and that of my associates, it is always greeted with all sorts of Fabianism tactics. It is true that I have resolved never to be deterred or intimidated by the constant waves of threats melted at me by sycophants and political rabble-rousers.
The entire Uyo State Constituency is aware of your unmerited second term ambition which you are pursuing with little or nothing to show for your first term as member representing Uyo State constituency.
I read in appalling consternation a purported political gimmick and permutation published on a local tabloid, The Waves News of March 29-April 4, 2017 in page 13 credited to you where you claimed to have constructed Ultra Modern civic centre in Offot Clan; built a Library block in Oku Clan; renovated six classrooms in Ikono; and installed Electrical plants in Etoi Clan.
No doubt, these projects are ongoing; however, one must not consult a clairvoyant to know that there are inter ministerial projects carried out by state government and only supervised by you of which no house member has ever claimed such project as his constituency project.
Sir, permit me to say unequivocal that I have traverse the nooks and cranny of our land and mingled with both the high and low; wage earners and wealth creators alike; young and old, and I could see clearly that we have had the poorest representation at the hallowed chamber under your superintendent.
My conscience shall not judge me right and I would not be fair to you if I fail to recognize your magnanimity in donation of about 50 chairs to one school in Etoi Clan. However, kudos to you.
Once again, I am restrained at this juncture to remind you should have forgotten that the grant and basketball court you promised to pay Uyo Students and constructed in Uyo have not been carried out.
Sincerely sir, it would be quite better if you fulfill this before organising the constituency briefing.
However, for more than 450 years before the birth of Jesus Christ, Chinish spiritual leader and philosopher, Confucius said and I quote inter alia:
"What I hear, I forget; what I see, I remember; what I do, I understand. " First, the people of Uyo have heard little or nothing from you as our brother and sister in other constituencies are hearing from your colleagues.
It baffled me that as the mouth piece of Uyo, you have never appeared on Planet FM to enlighten and interact with your people on your achievements like your counterparts have done.
I also want to see my house member engage the public in an intelligent conversation. I refuse to believe the rumour that your action on this is due to inferiority complex.
Preferably, it is advisable you capitalize on the platform on television that gives people opportunity to speak Ibibio like "Ntia Ntia Asaka" programme to talk to us.
In the proposed constituency briefing we heard you are panning to hold should afford us the privilege of being clarified on the issue of Akpanandem Market sanitation revenue and Ibom Plaza revenue.
I deem it a personal honour to have the privilege of placing my sincere complaint via this medium to you. Take notice of the fact that the prove of the puddling is in the eating.
Once again my honourable member, Uyo constituency briefing should not be a theatre of political gymnastic.
God bless you most sincerely.
