The foundation for Family Empowerment and Youth Reorientation
Path-initiative’s (FEYReP) Sea Food Processing Factory has been laid in
Ibaka Beach, Mbo Local Government Area and Ibeno Beach, Ukpenekang,
Ibeno Local Government Area respectively.

Performing the ground
breaking at the respective LGA's, the wife of Akwa Ibom State Governor
and founder of FEYReP, Mrs. Martha Udom Emmanuel
said the factories when completed will boost of a state-of-the art
mechanized fish drying machine which will ameliorate the sufferings
often associated with the traditional way of drying fishes.

She said the factories will boost economic activities of the women and will also add value to the lives of the people of the areas.
Also speaking, the coordinator of FEYReP, Mrs. Ime Inyang, said her platform has embarked on using agriculture to build a strong and virile economy, pointing out that this aligns with the five-point agenda of the administration of Mr. Udom Emmanuel in the area of food sufficiency.
Inyang who noted that FEYReP is all about touching lives and adding value to communities, said the factory would provide a safe, efficient and eco-friendly environment for families in the communities.
The consultant handling the projects, Mr. Kingsley Mbre while analyzing the advantages of the factories said the projects when completed will have the capacity to accommodate 1000 kg of fishes in the machine and promised that the projects will be commissioned on May 29, 2017 respectively.
There were goodwill messages from political stakeholders of the ares who all thanked the governor’s wife for bringing development to their areas and as well declared their unalloyed support to the administration of Mr. Udom Emmanuel as governor.
